nes the eBike’s position. A backup battery which is

integrated in the eConnect hub makes it independent

of the eBike’s battery and ensures a safe monitoring

mode operation for months. As soon as the eBike is

switched on, the battery automatically charges. A se-

parate charger is not necessary.

NOTE: if you experience a problem with your eConnect

system, please immediately contact the special-

ist dealer from whom you purchased the bike or

eConnect. Please do not perform any unauthorised

repairs on the eConnect hub.

First steps

1. First of all, please charge the eConnect. In order to

do so, switch on the display of your eBike at least

five times and allow automatic switching off. (Dura-

tion: approx. 25min). As a result, the eConnect hub

gains a basic charge. Full charging takes approxi-

mately one hour and can take place during your first

rides with your eBike as it is automatically charged

during riding.

2. Open Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Playstore

(Android) on your smartphone.

3. Search for the eConnect app with the keywords

“Haibike eConnect” and download the app for free.

4. Open the app and sign in via the “Register now”

button. Follow the instructions in the app.

5. You will receive an eMail to the specified address. If

you do not receive an eMail, please check the spam

file of your eMail account before re-registration.

6. Confirm the link sent to you and chose a password.

7. With the specified eMail address and password you

can access the app and also the eConnect portal on

www.econnect-haibike.com/login .

After a successful registration, please proceed

with the following steps:

1. Log in to the app with your account.

2. Select the menu item “My Haibike” or “New Bike”

and then “Create new bike”.

3. This step is only necessary for eBikes with the

eConnect retrofit kit. For eBikes that are equipped

with eConnect in their original configuration, the

frame number and motor number are stored at the

factory. Follow the instructions in the app and enter

the frame number of your eBike. The frame number

purchased the bike or eConnect.

eConnect – basic functions

· Tracking and route recording

Device informations

The eConnect hub, a compact transmission unit, ser-

ves a technical basis in which central components are

integrated. A GPS transmitter for satellite-based loca-

tion determination, a GSM chip for data communica-

tion and a Bluetooth module for close-range commu-

nication, for example via sensors. A 3D acceleration

sensor detects vibrations, a 3D Gyro sensor determi-

tenkommunikation sowie ein Bluetooth-Sender Mo-

dul zur Nahfeld-Kommunikation, beispielsweise mit

Sensoren. Ein 3D-Beschleunigungssensor detektiert

Erschütterungen, ein 3D-Gyro-Sensor ermittelt die

Lage des eBikes. Eine in die eConnect Unit integrierte

Pufferbatterie macht die eConnect Unit unabhängig

von der Hauptbatterie des eBikes und garantiert einen

sicheren Betrieb über Monate hinweg im Überwa-

chungsmodus. Sobald das eBike angeschalten wird,

lädt sich auch die Batterie wieder automatisch auf. Ein

separates Ladegerät ist nicht notwendig.

HINWEIS: Sollten Sie ein Problem an Ihrem eConnect

System feststellen, so kontaktieren Sie bitte umge-

hend unseren Fachhandelspartner bei dem Sie das

Rad bzw. das eConnect gekauft haben. Bitte führen

Sie keine eigenmächtigen Reparaturen am eConnect-

Hub durch.

Erste Schritte

Erstellung des eConnect Nutzerkontos (Account):

1. Bitte laden Sie eConnect zuerst auf. Hierzu schal-

ten sie bitte das Display Ihres eBike mindestens

fünf Mal ein und lassen es automatisch wieder

ausgehen (Dauer: ca. 25min). Dadurch erhält der

eConnect-Hub eine Grundladung. Die vollständige

Ladung dauert ca. eine Stunde und kann während

Ihren ersten Fahrten mit dem eBike durchgeführt

werden – während der Fahrt wird eConnect auto-

matisch geladen.

2. Öffnen Sie auf ihrem Smartphone den Apple App

Store (iOS) oder den Google Play-Store (Android)

3. Suchen Sie die eConnect App mit den Stichworten

Haibike eConnect und laden Sie sich diese kosten-

freie App auf ihr Smartphone.

4. Öffnen Sie die App und führen Sie zuerst durch

Drücken auf „Jetzt registrieren“ die Registrierung

durch. Folgen Sie dabei den Anweisungen in der

App.

5. Sie erhalten nun eine E-Mail an die angegebene

Adresse. Sollten Sie keine E-Mail bekommen,

prüfen Sie bitte zuerst den Spam-Ordner Ihres

Mailaccounts bevor Sie die Registrierung erneut

durchführen.

6. Bestätigen Sie den Link in der Mail und vergeben

Sie ein sicheres Passwort.

7. Mit der angegebenen E-Mail-Adresse und dem

Passwort können Sie sich nun sowohl in der App

als auch unter www.econnect-haibike.com/login im

eConnect Portal anmelden.

Nach erfolgreicher Registierung führen Sie bitte

folgende Schritte durch:

1. Melden Sie sich in der App mit ihrem Account an.

2. Wählen Sie den Menüpunkt „Mein Haibike“ bzw.

„Neues Bike“ aus und danach „Neues Bike anle-

gen“.

3. Dieser Schritt ist nur für eBikes mit eConnect

Nachrüstkit notwendig. Bei eBikes, die in Original-

ausstattung mit eConnect ausgerüstet sind, wird

die Rahmennummer und Motornummer werkseitig

hinterlegt. Folgen Sie den Anweisungen in der App

und geben Sie nun die Rahmennummer Ihres eBi-

kes ein. Die Rahmennummer finden Sie auf Ihrem

eBike in der Regel auf dem Unterrohr (ggf. muss zu-

nächst die Batterie entnommen werden). Sie trägt

ein vorangestelltes #-Zeichen.

4. Unter dem Menüpunkt „Einstellungen“ und „Meine

Bikes“ können Sie den Namen des eBikes ändern

und weitere Einstellungen vornehmen.

5. (optional) Öffnen Sie das Menü „eConnect Keys“

und tippen Sie auf „Neuen Key hinzufügen“, um

Ihren im Lieferumfang enthaltenen eConnect Key

Ihrem eBike zuzuweisen. Folgen Sie dazu den An-

weisungen in der App.

Wir wünschen Ihnen viel Spaß mit Ihrem mit eConnect

ausgestatten eBike und bei Ihrer ersten Fahrt.

Besondere Hinweise

· Achten Sie zu jeder Zeit Ihrer Fahrt auf Ihren Fahrweg

und Ihre Umgebung, besonders wenn Sie am öffent-

lichen Straßenverkehr teilnehmen. Das Mobiltelefon

sollte nur bedient werden, nachdem Sie angehalten

haben.

· Sollten Sie über das eConnect die Meldung bekom-

men, dass Ihr Rad gerade entwendet wird, so verhal-

ten Sie sich passiv und rufen eher die Polizei an als

selbst einzuschreiten. Dies könnte zu gefährlichen

Situationen führen.

· Bitte beachten Sie, dass vorsätzlicher Missbrauch

der Notruffunktion zu hohen Kosten für einen Einsatz

der Rettungskräfte aufgrund eines Fehlalarms füh-

ren kann. Für weitere Informationen zu einem durch

eConnect gemeldeten Unfall lesen Sie bitte die Hand-

lungsempfehlungen auf der Webseite www.haibike.

com/crash durch und besprechen Sie dies ebenfalls

mit Ihren hinterlegten Notfallkontakten.

· Die uneingeschränkte Nutzung der eConnect-Funk-

tionen ist nur in folgenden Ländern möglich: Belgien,

Bulgarien, Dänemark, Estland, Finnland, Frankreich,

Französisch-Guayana, Gibraltar, Griechenland,

Großbritanien, Guadeloupe, Irland, Island, Isle of

Man, Italien, Kanalinseln, Kroatien, La Désirade,

Lettland, Liechtenstein, Litauen, Luxemburg, Malta,

Marie-Galante, Martinique, Mayotte, Monaco, Nie-

derlande, Nordirland, Norwegen, Österreich, Polen,

Portugal, Réunion, Reunion + Mayotte, Rumänien,

Saint Barthélemy, Saint Martin (französischer Teil),

Saint-Barthélemy, San Marino, Schweden, Schweiz,

Slowakei, Slowenien, Spanien, Tschechische Rep.,

Ungarn, Vatikanstadt, Zypern. Außerhalb dieser Län-

der stehen die eConnect Funktionen nicht zur Verfü-

gung und es fallen keine weiteren Kosten an.

· Für die Nutzung der App ist eine Internetverbindung

erforderlich. Die Daten, die die App über diese Ver-

bindung überträgt gehen zu Lasten Ihres Mobilfunk-

vertrages. Sollten Sie ein Prepaid-Karte verwenden,

so ist darauf zu achten, dass die Datenverbindung

unter Umständen zusätzliche Kosten verursacht.

Bitte prüfen Sie dazu die Vertragsbedingungen ihres

Mobilfunkanbieters.

· Alle Daten werden auf Systemen abgelegt, die

höchsten Sicherheitsanforderungen entsprechen.

Zu persönlichen Daten wie Routen, Positionsdaten

hat einzig der Benutzer Zugriff. Bitte lesen Sie hierzu

auch die Datenschutzbestimmung während des Re-

gistrierungsprozesses.

· Entsorgen Sie weder die eConnect-Hub, noch den

eConnect Key im Hausmüll. Führen Sie diese Geräte

einer sachgerechten Entsorgung zu, wenn diese ein-

mal defekt sein sollten.

can change the name of the eBike and configure

additional settings.

key to your eBike. Follow the instructions in the app

to complete the process.

Have fun with your eBike and the equipped eConnect

during your rides.

Special information

· Please mind the road and your surroundings at any

time when riding your bike, especially when being

part of public traffic. You should only use your mobile

phone after you stopped.

· In case you receive a notification that your bike is

being stolen, please rather act defensive and call the

police instead of intervening yourself as this might

lead to dangerous situations.

· Please note that intentional misuse of the notification

function causes high costs for the service of emer-

gency personnel. For further information concerning

emergencies reported via eConnect, please read the

reaction recommendations on our www.haibike.

com/crash website. Also discuss this issue with your

specified emergency contact persons.

· The unlimited use of eConnect functions in only pos-

sible in the following countries: Belgium, Bulgaria,

Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French-Guayana,

Gibraltar, Greece, the UK, Guadeloupe, Ireland, Ice-

land, Isle of Man, Italy, Channel Islands, Croatia, La

Désirade, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxem-

burg, Malta, Marie-Galante, Martinique, Mayotte, Mo-

naco, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Austria,

Poland, Portugal, Réunion, Reunion + Mayotte, Ro-

the eConnect function is not available and no further

· An internet connection is necessary in order to use

the app. The data which are transferred via the app

are at the expense of your mobile contract. If you use

a prepaid card, please note that the data connection

may cause additional costs. Therefore, please check

the contract terms and conditions of your mobile

phone provider.

· All data are saved on the system which is provided

with the highest safety measures. Personal data,

such as routes and locations, can only be accessed

by the user. Please also read the data protection pro-

visions concerning this topic which are shown during

the registration process.

· Do not dispose either the eConnect hub or the

eConnect key in household waste. Appropriately dis-

pose these devices in case they are broken.

eConnect – fonctions de bases

· Localisation et itinéraires

Informations système

La base technique réside dans une unité émettrice

compacte, le transmetteur eConnect, où sont intégrés

plusieurs composants essentiels : un émetteur GPS

pour la localisation satellite, une puce GSM pour la

transmission des données ainsi qu’un module Blue-

tooth pour une communication courte distance, avec

des capteurs par ex. Un capteur d’accélération 3D

détecte les vibrations, un capteur gyroscopique 3D

transmet la position du vélo. Une batterie tampon, in-

tégrée au transmetteur, rend l’eConnect indépendant

de la batterie du vélo et garantit un fonctionnement

durant plusieurs mois en mode surveillance. Dès que

le vélo est mis en marche, la batterie se recharge

automatiquement. Il n’est pas nécessaire de disposer

d’un chargeur spécial.

REMARQUE : Si vous constatez un problème sur

votre système eConnect, contactez immédiatement

le revendeur agréé chez qui vous avez acheté votre

vélo ou votre système eConnect. N’effectuez aucune

réparation vous-même sur le transmetteur eConnect.

Premières étapes

1. Chargez dans un premier temps votre eConnect.

Pour cela, allumez au moins cinq fois l’écran de

votre VAE et laissez-le s’éteindre automatiquement

(durée : env. 25min). Le transmetteur eConnect ob-

tient alors une charge de base. Une charge pleine

dure environ une heure et peut s’effectuer lors de

votre première sortie ; le eConnect se recharge au-

tomatiquement quand vous roulez.

2. Prenez votre smartphone et ouvrez Apple App Store

(iOS) ou Google Play-Store (Android)

3. Recherchez l’application eConnect en saisissant

dans la barre de recherche „Haibike eConnect“ et

chargez cette application gratuite.

4. Ouvrez l’application et enregistrez-vous en cliquant

sur „Jetzt registrieren“. Suivez les instructions de-

mandées par l’appli.

5. Vous recevez alors un mail à l’adresse communi-

quée. Si vous ne recevez rien, vérifiez d’abord vos

Spam avant de refaire votre enregistrement.

6. Confirmez le lien reçu dans le mail et entrez un mot

de passe.

7. Avec l’adresse mail communiquée et votre mot

de passe, vous pouvez désormais vous connecter

aussi bien à l’appli qu’au portail eConnect Portal via

www.econnect-haibike.com/login .

Etapes suivant l’enregistrement

1. Inscrivez-vous dans l’aplli avec votre compte.

2. Dans le menu, sélectionnez « Mon Haibike » (Mein

Haibike) ou « Nouveau vélo » (Neues Bike), puis

« Enregistrer un nouveau vélo » (Neues Bike an-

legen).

3. Cette étape ne concerne que les vélos équipés

d’un kit rétrofit eConnect. Le numéro de cadre et

le numéro de moteur des vélos montés dès l’ori-

gine avec le système eConnect sont enregistrés

en usine. Suivez les instructions de l’application et

saisissez maintenant le numéro du cadre de votre

vélo. Vous le trouverez normalement sur le cadre

inférieur de votre vélo, après avoir retiré la batterie.

Il est précédé du signe #.

4. Dans le menu « Réglages» (Einstellungen) et « Mes

vélos » (Meine Bikes), vous pouvez modifier le nom

du vélo et effectuer d’autres réglages.

5. (en option) Ouvrez le menu « Clés eConnect »

(eConnect Keys) et tapez « Ajouter une nouvelle

clé » (Neuen Key hinzufügen) pour attribuer la clé

eConnect fournie dans votre commande à votre

vélo. Suivez les instructions de l’application.

Nous vous souhaitons beaucoup de plaisir à rouler

avec votre vélo équipé du système eConnect.

Remarques particulières :

· A chaque sortie, soyez attentifs au terrain et à l’en-

vironnement, notamment lorsque vous roulez sur la

voie publique N’utilisez votre téléphone portable que

lorsque vous êtes arrêtés.

· Si vous recevez une notification via eConnect que

votre vélo est en train d’être volé, n’intervenez pas

personnellement et appelez la police. Ceci pourrait

conduire à des situations dangereuses.

· Notez qu’un usage intensionnel abusif de la fon-

ction d’appel d’urgence peut entraîner des frais

importants pour une intervention des services de

secours. Pour obtenir plus d’informations relatives

à un accident indiqué par eConnect, lisez les re-

commandations énoncées sur le site internet www.

haibike.com/crash et parlez-en également avec les

personnes à contacter en cas d’urgence que vous

avez enregistrées.

· L’utilisation illimitée des fonctions eConnect n’est

possible que dans les pays suivants : Belgique, Bul-

garie, Danemark, Estonie, Finlande, France, Guyane

française, Gibraltar, Grèce, Grande-Bretagne, Gu-

adeloupe, Irlande, Islande, Isle of Man, Italie, Iles

En-dehors de ces états, les fonctions eConnect ne

sont pas disponibles et aucun frais supplémentaires

n’est appliqué.

· Pour utiliser l’application, il est nécessaire d’avoir

une connexion internet. La transmission des

données se fait selon votre forfait de téléphone por-

table. Si vous utilisez une carte pré-payée, notez que

des frais supplémentaires sont générés dans cer-

taines circonstances. Renseignez-vous bien sur les

conditions contractuelles de votre opérateur.

· Toutes les données sont stockées sur des serveurs

qui répondent aux plus hautes exigences en matière

de sécurité. Les données personnelles comme les

itinéraires, les positions sont accessibles seulement

à l’utilisateur. Lisez à ce sujet la déclaration de pro-

tections des données lors de votre enregistrement.

· Ne jetez ni le transmetteur eConnect, ni la clé

eConnect Key avec les ordures ménagères. Portez

ces appareils au tri, s’ils devaient être défectueux.
