3.1. Setting the motion detector as the master
Step Action Result
1 Rotate the left potentiometer all the way to
the right.
The red LED flashes once.
2 Rotate this potentiometer back to the left … until the red LED again flashes once.
3 Rotate the right potentiometer all the way to
the left (test mode).
The red LED will switch on as soon as the
sensor detects motion.
4 Rotate this potentiometer back to the right … until the red LED switches off.
5 Press the button on top of the sensor twice or
wait ten seconds without moving after the light
switches off.
The setting is confirmed. The sensor is now set
as the master at a minimum switch-off delay
and a maximum light sensitivity.
The light sensitivity and switch-off delay can be adjusted as needed. By way of confirmation, once again press
the button on top of the sensor twice or wait ten seconds without moving after the light switches off.
3.2. Setting the motion detector as a slave
Step Action Result
1 Rotate the left potentiometer all the way to the
right (slave).
The red LED flashes once.
2 Rotate the right potentiometer all the way to
the left (test mode).
The red LED will switch on as soon as the
sensor detects motion.
3 Rotate the right potentiometer back to the
right …
until the red LED switches off.
4 Press the button on top of the sensor twice or
wait ten seconds without moving after the light
switches off.
The setting is confirmed. The sensor is now set
as the slave at a minimum switch-off delay.
The switch-off delay can be adjusted as needed. By way of confirmation, once again press the button on top of
the sensor twice or wait ten seconds without moving after the light switches off.
3.3. Test mode
If you set the motion detector to the test mode, you can test the range of the sensor. The lighting that you connected
to the device also reacts when the range is being tested.
Step Action Result
1 Rotate the right potentiometer all the way to
the left (test mode).
The red LED will switch on as soon as the
sensor detects motion.
After detection, the light is switched on for five
seconds after which time it switches off again
for two seconds. This is repeated every time
there is movement in the detection area.
In test mode, the position of the left potentiometer has no influence on the operation of the sensor. A confirmation
(pressing the button on top of the sensor twice) or waiting time (ten seconds after the light switches off) is not
applicable here.
4. OPERATION AND USE
4.1. Maximum permitted load
Check the table below to find out the maximum load for each type of lamp at an ambient temperature of -5 to + 45°C.

4.2. Activation
The motion detector is ready for use 90 seconds after connecting to the mains voltage (warm-up time):
• First, the red LED behind the sensor lens lights up for three seconds.
• Five seconds later, the light switches on, regardless of whether the room is light or dark.
• After that, the LED switches on and off every two seconds for a duration of 80 seconds.
• If no motion is detected in the time period between 80 and 90 seconds, the connected lighting is
switched off.
• If motion is detected in that time frame, the light continues to be illuminated during the preset switch
off delay.
4.3. General operation
The integrated sensor continuously measures the daylight level in the detection area (180°) and compares this
level to the preset lux value. Thanks to the sensor, the light switches on automatically only if the detector detects
motion within the detection range and if the daylight level falls below the preset lux value:
• The lighting remains switched on as long as motion is detected.
• After the last motion is detected, the lighting remains switched on for the duration of the preset switch-off
delay. As soon as the switch-off delay has elapsed, the lighting switches off.
• The lighting switches off automatically as soon the preset daylight level has been reached.
After a power interruption, the lighting is switched on for the duration of the switch-off delay if at that moment
the daylight is less intense than the preset lux value.
4.4. Manual operation
You can also switch the lighting on and off manually:

1 Press the button on the top of the
sensor:
- The lighting remains switched on for four hours.
- During this time, the red LED behind the sensor lens
is also illuminated.
- After four hours, the sensor resumes its normal
operation.
- The red LED switches off.
2 Press this button again within the
hour.
- The lighting is switched off.
- The sensor detects no movement for a period of ten
seconds.
- After ten seconds, the sensor resumes its normal
operation.
4.5. Use with several detection points
If you have more than one detection point for one lighting circuit, then a master and a slave must be assigned.
light sensitivity
The light sensitivity of the slave is determined by the preset light sensitivity on the master.
switch-off delay* The preset time on the slave is added to the preset switch-off delay on the master.
*
If the switch-off delay on the slave is set to one minute, for example, the lighting is switched on when motion is detected by
this slave for the duration of the preset switch-off delay on the master + one minute. This remains one minute even if more
than one slave with a switch-off delay of one minute is connected to the master.
4.6. External push button
If you press the external push button, the lighting is switched on, just like when the sensor is activated. The
lighting is only switched on if the photo cell in the sensor registers that it is sufficiently dark in the room (the
daylight level falls below the preset lux value).
4.7. External switch
If you press the external switch, the lighting is switched on and remains on, regardless of the time set on the sensor.
You can only switch off the lighting again by pressing the switch again. The lighting only switches off after the
preset switch-off delay has elapsed.
Tip: If you want to know that the lighting has automatically switched off after the preset switch-off delay, then
use a switch with an indication LED.
5. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Cause Solution
The motion detector does not
switch on.
The reaction threshold is set to
twilight in a brightly illuminated
room.
Correctly set the light intensity
(lux value).
The lens is covered or dirty. Uncover or clean the lens.
The electronic control gear or the
fuse is defective.
Replace the defective electronic
control gear or the defective fuse.
The lighting does not work. The lamp is defective. Replace the lamp.
The motion detector has been
mounted at the incorrect height.
Respect the recommended
mounting height (0.8 – 1.2 m).
The lighting remains illuminated. Manual mode is activated. Deactivate manual mode.
You have switched on the lighting
using a switch.
Switch off the lighting with the
switch.
There is constant movement in
the detection area.
- Remove the heat source from
the detection area.
- Set the switch-off delay to the
shortest possible time.
- Wait until the switch-off delay
elapses (max. 30 minutes).
- Cover the lens to check this
setting.
The lighting is constantly
switching on and off.
The distance to the switched
lamp is too small.
Increase the distance to the
lamp.
