Quick Start Guide

1. Setting Up the Smart Ear Thermometer
1. The key to obtaining accurate readings is a clean sensor.
To clean the sensor, use a cotton swab slightly moistened with alcohol to gently wipe its surface,
and then immediately wipe dry using a clean cotton swab.
Wait at least 20 minutes to make sure that the sensor is completely dry before taking temperature.
2. Make sure the ear canal is clean. If you have cleaned the ear, please wait for 5 to 10 minutes before
measuring temperature.
3. If the temperature of the storage area diers greatly from that of the measuring area, please wait
until the thermometer temperature has equalised to the room temperature, about 30 minutes, prior
to use.
4. Please open the battery cover and install 2 AAA batteries, which can be found inside the packaging.
Once batteries are installed, the thermometer will then turn on automatically and the LCD display
will appear as in the figure to the left. Press any button to turn the device back on when it turns
itself o.

2. Insert the probe very gently and slowly into the ear canal.
• Hold the thermometer such that the probe is oriented straight in the direction of the eardrum.
• It is important to point the thermometer’s probe window toward the eardrum and its periphery
inside the ear.
• Hold the outer ear and gently pull it toward the rear of the head to straighten the ear canal.
• Always insert the thermometer into the same ear in the same direction and at the same depth.

3. Press the [ ] button to start measurement until you hear two ‘DIDI’ beep. (approx. 1 second). The
measurement is complete.
4. Remove the thermometer from the ear canal. The LCD displays the measured temperature. A new
measurement can only be taken 6 seconds after the previous temperature measurement. When the
cleaning symbol flashes on the LED screen, please clean the infra-red sensor. Press any button to
stop flashing.
5. Press the [ ] button for 2 seconds to mute the device.

Pair the Smart Ear Thermometer with your Android™ Device/ iPhone®/iPad®.
1. Run the Hubble Connect for Smart Nursery app on your Android™ Device/iPhone®/iPad®.
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your Android™ Device iPhone®/iPad®.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to create your Smart Nursery account and connect to the
Thermometer via Bluetooth.
4. Log in to your Hubble Connect for Smart Nursery account, and tap on “Smart Ear Thermometer” to
enter the set-up mode.
5. Tap on “Skip to Setup”, then tap “Next” to search for the thermometer. Make sure that your
thermometer is switched on, then tap Next.
6. Pair the Thermometer via Bluetooth, then tap Next.
7. Search for the device, and when the device is found, tap “Smart Ear Thermometer”.
8. Pairing the thermometer with your smart device.
9. It will take a few seconds for the thermometer to connect to your smart device. Tap “Continue”.
10. Tap “Get Started” when the thermometer is successfully connected to the Hubble Connect for
Smart Nursery app.
Note
Should you fail to complete the set-up process, repeat the above steps (5).
Pair the Smart Ear Thermometer with your Android™ Device/ iPhone®/iPad®.
1. Run the Hubble Connect for Smart Nursery app on your Android™ Device/iPhone®/iPad®.
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your Android™ Device iPhone®/iPad®.

Smart Nursery app.

1. Inbetriebnahme des Intelligenten Ohrthermometers
1. Eine wesentliche Voraussetzung für genaue Messwerte ist ein sauberer Sensor.
Wischen Sie die Oberfläche des Sensors vorsichtig mit einem Wattestäbchen, das Sie zuvor mit
etwas Alkohol angefeuchtet haben, sauber und wischen Sie die Oberfläche anschließend sofort mit
einem sauberen Wattestäbchen trocken.
Warten Sie mindestens 20 Minuten, um sicherzugehen, dass der Sensor absolut trocken ist, bevor
Sie die Temperatur messen.
2. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Gehörgang sauber ist. Wenn Sie das Ohr gesäubert haben, warten Sie
bitte fünf bis zehn Minuten, bevor Sie die Temperatur messen.
3. Falls die Temperatur des Aufbewahrungsbereichs sehr von der des Messbereichs abweicht,
warten Sie bitte etwa 30 Minuten vor dem Gebrauch, bis sich die Thermometertemperatur an die
Zimmertemperatur angepasst hat.
4. Önen Sie bitte die Batteriefachabdeckung und legen Sie zwei AAA-Batterien ein, die Sie in der
Verpackung finden. Sobald die Batterien eingelegt sind, schaltet sich das Thermometer automatisch
ein und das LCD sollte die gleiche Anzeige wie auf der Abbildung links zeigen. Drücken Sie eine
beliebige Taste, um das Gerät wieder einzuschalten, wenn es sich ausschaltet.
MESSEN DER OHRTEMPERATUR
1. Entfernen Sie vor dem Gebrauch die Schutzkappe. Nehmen Sie das Thermometer in die Hand und
legen Sie Ihren Daumen oder Zeigefinger auf die [ ] Taste.
• Drücken Sie die Taste noch nicht.
• Vergewissern Sie sich vor dem Messen, ob der Messkopf sauber ist.
2. Führen Sie den Messkopf sehr vorsichtig und langsam in den Gehörgang ein.
• Halten Sie das Thermometer so, dass der Messkopf gerade auf das Trommelfell ausgerichtet ist.
• Es ist wichtig, dass das Messfenster des Messkopfes auf das Trommelfell gerichtet ist. Seine
Peripherie muss sich im Ohr befinden.
• Halten Sie die Ohrmuschel und ziehen Sie sie sanft zur Rückseite des Kopfes, um den Gehörgang
zu strecken.
• Führen Sie das Thermometer immer in das gleiche Ohr in die gleiche Richtung und gleich tief in
das Ohr ein.
3. Halten Sie die [ ] Taste gedrückt, um den Messvorgang zu starten, bis Sie zwei Pieptöne (DIDI)
hören (ca. 1 Sekunde). Der Messvorgang ist nun abgeschlossen.
4. Ziehen Sie das Thermometer aus dem Gehörgang. Das LCD zeigt die gemessene Temperatur an.
Ein neue Messung kann erst sechs Sekunden nach der letzten Temperaturmessung durchgeführt
werden. Wenn das Reinigungssymbol auf der LED-Anzeige blinkt, reinigen Sie bitte den Infrarot-
Sensor. Drücken Sie eine beliebige Taste, um das Blinken zu stoppen.
5. Halten Sie zwei Sekunden lang die [ ] Taste gedrückt, um das Gerät stummzuschalten.

1. Configuración del Termómetro Smart para el Oído
1. La clave para que la medición sea precisa es que el sensor esté limpio.

CÓMO TOMAR LA TEMPERATURA
1. Retire la tapa protectora antes de usarlo. Coloque el termómetro en la mano con el dedo pulgar o el
índice en el botón [ ].
• No presione el botón todavía.
• Compruebe que la sonda está limpia antes de tomar al temperatura.
2. Inserte la sonda despacio y con mucho cuidado en el canal del oído.
• Sujete el termómetro de manera que la sonda quede orientada recta en dirección al tímpano.
• Es importante apuntar la ventanilla de la sonda del termómetro hacia el tímpano y su periferia
hacia dentro del oído.
• Sujete el pabellón auditivo y tire de él con cuidado hacia la parte posterior de la cabeza para
estirar el canal del oído.
• Inserte siempre el termómetro en el mismo oído, en la misma dirección y a la misma profundidad.
3. Presione el botón [ ] para iniciar la medición hasta escuchar dos pitidos "DI DI". (aprox. 1
segundo). La medición se ha completado.
4. Retire el termómetro del canal auditivo. La pantalla LCD mostrará la temperatura medida. Para
tomar otra vez la temperatura deberá esperar 6 segundos entre mediciones. Cuando el símbolo de
limpieza parpadea en la pantalla LED, limpie el sensor de infrarrojos. Presione cualquier botón para
detener el parpadeo.
5. Presione el botón [ ] durante 2 segundos para silenciar el dispositivo.

1. Configurare il termometro auricolare intelligente

1. Rimuovere il cappuccio protettivo prima dell'uso. Aerrare il termometro posizionando il pollice o
l'indice sul pulsante [ ].
• Non premere ancora il pulsante.
• Assicurarsi che la sonda sia pulita prima della misurazione.
2. Inserire la sonda delicatamente e lentamente nel canale auricolare.
• Tenere il termometro in modo tale che la sonda sia orientata in linea retta verso il timpano.
• È importante dirigere la finestra della sonda verso il timpano e i suoi margini all'interno
dell'orecchio.
• Aerrare l'orecchio esterno e tirarlo delicatamente verso la nuca per raddrizzare il canale
auricolare.
• Inserire il termometro sempre nello stesso orecchio, nella stessa direzione e alla stessa profondità.
3. Premere il pulsante [ ] per avviare la misurazione, finché il termometro non emette due segnali
acustici (circa 1 secondo). La misurazione è terminata.
4. Rimuovere il termometro dal canale auricolare. Sul display apparirà la temperatura misurata.
Prima di eettuare una nuova misurazione è necessario attendere 6 secondi. Quando sul display
lampeggia il simbolo della pulizia, pulire il sensore a infrarossi. Premere qualsiasi pulsante per
interrompere il lampeggiamento.
5. Tenere premuto il pulsante [ ] per 2 secondi per disattivare il suono del termometro.

selezionare “Get Started”.

1. De smart oorthermometer instellen
1. Het belangrijkste voor het krijgen van nauwkeurige metingen is een schone sensor.
Om de sensor te reinigen, gebruik een wattenstaafje lichtjes bevochtigd in alcohol om het
oppervlak voorzichtig schoon te vegen. Veeg de sensor vervolgens onmiddellijk droog met een
schoon wattenstaafje.
Wacht minstens 20 minuten om ervoor te zorgen dat de sensor helemaal droog is voordat u de
temperatuur neemt.
2. Zorg dat het oorkanaal schoon is. Na het reinigen van het oor, wacht 5 tot 10 minuten voordat u de
temperatuur meet.
3. Als de temperatuur in de opbergruimte aanzienlijk afwijkt van deze in de meetomgeving, wacht
totdat de thermometer de kamertemperatuur heeft bereikt, ca. 30 minuten, voordat u de
thermometer gebruikt.
4. Open het batterijdeksel en installeer 2 AAA batterijen die zich tevens in de verpakking bevinden.
Eenmaal de batterijen zijn geïnstalleerd, wordt de thermometer automatisch ingeschakeld en
verschijnt het volgend LCD-scherm, zoals links afgebeeld. Druk op een willekeurige knop om het
apparaat opnieuw in te schakelen wanneer het uit zichzelf wordt uitgeschakeld.
HOE DE OORTEMPERATUUR METEN
1. Verwijder de beschermkap voor gebruik. Neem de thermometer in uw hand met uw duim of
wijsvinger op de [ ] knop.
• Druk nog niet op de knop.
• Zorg dat de sonde schoon is voordat u een meting uitvoert.
2. Stop de sonde voorzichtig en langzaam in het oorkanaal.
• Houd de thermometer vast zodat de sonde recht naar het trommelvlies is gericht.
• Het is belangrijk om het venster van de sonde richting het trommelvlies en de aangrenzende
zone binnenin het oor te richten.
• Houd het buitenoor vast en trek het voorzichtig richting het achterhoofd om het oorkanaal recht
te maken.
• Stop de thermometer altijd in hetzelfde oor, in dezelfde richting en tot dezelfde diepte.
3. Druk op de [ ] knop om de meting te starten totdat u twee ‘DIDI’ geluiden hoort. (ca. 1 seconde).
De meting is nu voltooid.
4. Verwijder de thermometer uit het oorkanaal. Het LCD-scherm geeft de gemeten temperatuur
weer. Een nieuwe meting kan pas 6 seconden na de vorige temperatuurmeting worden uitgevoerd.
Als het reinigingssymbool op het LED-scherm knippert, reinig de infraroodsensor. Druk op een
willekeurige knop om het knipperen te stoppen.
5. Druk 2 seconden op de [ ] knop om het apparaat te dempen.

Smartphones/ Tablets: Alleen Android™ en iOS®.

5. Tik op “Skip to Setup” (Ga naar instellen) en vervolgens op “Next” (Volgende) om naar de
thermometer te zoeken. Zorg dat uw thermometer is ingeschakeld en tik vervolgens op “Next”
(Volgende).
6. Koppel de thermometer via Bluetooth en tik vervolgens op “Next” (Volgende).
7. Zoek naar het apparaat. Eenmaal het apparaat wordt gevonden, tik op “Smart Ear Thermometer”.
8. De thermometer aan uw smart-apparaat koppelen.
9. Het duurt enkele seconden voordat de thermometer een verbinding met uw smart-apparaat maakt.
Tik op “Continue” (Doorgaan).
10. Tik op "Get Started” (Aan de slag) eenmaal de thermometer met de Hubble Connect for Smart
Nursery app is verbonden.
Opmerking
Als de instelprocedure mislukt, herhaal bovenstaande stappen (5).

1. Configuration du thermomètre auriculaire intelligent
1. La précision des relevés dépend de la propreté du capteur.
Pour nettoyer le capteur, frottez-le délicatement avec un coton-tige légèrement imbibé d'alcool,
puis essuyez-le immédiatement à l'aide d'un autre coton-tige propre.
Avant de réutiliser le thermomètre, attendez au moins 20 minutes afin de vous assurer que le
capteur est complètement sec.
2. Veillez à ce que le canal auditif soit propre. Si vous avez nettoyé l'oreille, attendez ensuite 5 à 10
minutes avant d'utiliser le thermomètre.
3. Si la température du lieu de rangement du thermomètre est très diérente de celle du lieu de
mesure, attendez environ 30 minutes avant d'utiliser l'appareil, le temps qu'il arrive à la température
ambiante.
4. Ouvrez le couvercle du compartiment à piles et installez 2 piles de type AAA, fournies avec
l'appareil. Une fois les piles en place, le thermomètre s'allume automatiquement et l'écran LCD
s'illumine de la manière indiquée ci-contre. Quand l'appareil s'éteint, appuyez sur n'importe quel
bouton pour le rallumer.
COMMENT PRENDRE LA TEMPÉRATURE DANS L'OREILLE
1. Avant d'utiliser l'appareil, ôtez le capuchon de protection. Prenez le thermomètre dans votre main,
avec le pouce ou l'index sur le bouton [ ].
• N'appuyez pas encore sur le bouton.
• Assurez-vous que la sonde est propre avant de procéder à la mesure.
2. Insérez la sonde dans le conduit auditif, très lentement et délicatement.
• Tenez le thermomètre avec la sonde orientée tout droit vers le tympan.
• Il est important que la sonde du thermomètre soit dirigée exactement face au tympan et à ses
environs.
• Afin que le canal auditif soit bien droit, tirez lentement le lobe de l'oreille vers l'arrière de la tête.
• Insérez toujours le thermomètre dans la même oreille, dans le même sens et à la même
profondeur.
3. Pour commencer la mesure, appuyez sur le bouton [ ] et gardez-le enfoncé jusqu'à entendre un
bip sonore (env. 1 seconde). La mesure est terminée.
4. Sortez le thermomètre du conduit auditif. La température mesurée s'ache à l'écran LCD. Une fois
la température relevée, vous devez attendre au moins 6 secondes avant d'eectuer une nouvelle
mesure. Lorsque l'icône de nettoyage clignote à l'écran LED, cela signifie que le capteur infrarouge a
besoin d'être nettoyé. Appuyez sur n'importe quel bouton pour arrêter le clignotement.
5. Pour couper le son de l'appareil, appuyez sur le bouton [ ] pendant 2 secondes.

1. Lancez l'application Hubble Connect for Smart Nursery sur votre appareil Android™/ iPhone®/ iPad®.
2. Activez la fonction Bluetooth sur votre appareil Android™/iPhone®/iPad®.
3. Créez votre compte Smart Nursery en suivant les instructions de l'application, puis connectez le
thermomètre via Bluetooth.
4. Connectez-vous à votre compte Hubble Connect for Smart Nursery, puis appuyez sur le
thermomètre auriculaire pour accéder au mode de configuration.
5. Appuyez sur "Passer à la configuration", puis appuyez sur "Suivant" pour rechercher le
thermomètre. Assurez-vous que votre thermomètre est allumé, puis appuyez sur Suivant.
6. Procédez à l'appairage du thermomètre via Bluetooth, puis appuyez sur Suivant.
7. Cherchez l'appareil, puis quand il est trouvé, appuyez sur "Smart Ear Thermometer" (thermomètre
auriculaire intelligent).
8. Le thermomètre s'appaire avec votre appareil.
9. Le processus d'appairage entre le thermomètre et l'appareil ne devrait pas durer plus de quelques
secondes. Allez dans "Continuer".
10. Une fois le thermomètre correctement relié à l'application Hubble Connect for Smart Nursery,
appuyez sur "Démarrer".
Remarque
Si le processus de configuration échoue, répétez les étapes ci-dessus (5).
