Safety belts
There is possibility to attach hip safety belts. They are not included in the standard equipment.
Push handles with height adjustment
To adjust the height of the push handles one must loosen the lever 1 by turning it
counter-clockwise. Then adjust the handlebar to the desired height 2 and tighten the
lever 1 again by turning it clockwise. The lever’s position can be adjusted separately
by pulling it backwards and rotating it to avoid it sticking out to the sides.
WARNING! To ensure a secure push both handles must be set to the same height.
WARNING! The push handles have to be used only for pushing and steering the
wheelchair. You should NOT use them for lifting or tilting the wheelchair!
Backrest with angle adjustment (only on Barracuda)
To adjust the backrest angle press and hold the red knob 1. Use the second hand to adjust the side of
the backrest to desired angle 2 and release knob 1 to secure backrest in desired position.
Repeat above steps on the other side of the backrest.
WARNING! Always ensure that the angle of both back tubes is adjusted to the same positions.
Tension-able Back (accessory)
The tension in this optional backrest can be adjusted with multiple straps. To adjust it 7rst take o? the
Velcro cover o? the backrest and adjust all straps one by one. A single strap is adjusted by releasing the
bracket lock, pulling the Velcro apart and changing it’s length by pulling it. Attach the Velcro so that the
strap isn’t loose, reattach the bracket lock and repeat for all the other straps. After adjusting all straps,
attach the cover so that all Velcro straps on the back and the seat align.
Folding / unfolding the frame
To unfold the wheelchair, hold the seat tubes and push them
apart outward, then push down on both of them (left image)
until the seat upholstery is @at.
To fold the wheelchair, pull the seat upholstery up and guide
one seat tube inwards (right image) until the wheelchair is
folded.
Step pedals
The step pedal on wheelchairs makes it easier for the attendant to
avoid obstacles by tilting the wheelchair backwards (left image). The
step pedal can be mounted onto the frame as showed on the picture
(right image).
NOTE! DO NOT tilt the wheelchair with the handles, but use the step
pedals!
Advanced settings and adjustments
WARNING! We recommend that all advanced
adjustments are only carried out by quali7ed personnel.
An improper adjustment may decrease safety when
using the wheelchair and reduce the service life of the
wheelchair.
WARNING! The correct seat depth should always be
professionally determined by a therapist or specialist!
To adjust the seat depth, proceed as follows:
Loosen and remove the screws 1 on the upper and lower frame tubes, and slide
the inner frame tube 2 forwards or backwards until you have reached the desired
setting. Insert the screws 1 and tighten them. Repeat the procedure on the
opposite side of the wheelchair.
Loosen and remove the screw 3 and adjust the holder to the same position as the
chosen position for the screw 1. After adjusting the seat depth it may be
necessary to adjust the position of the brakes as well as the seat cushion. To
adjust the cushion open it's cover, cut o? the foam at the speci7ed notches and
close the cover again using a Velcro strap.
