• Take care that children cannot touch the appliance when hot and that they cannot pull the mains cord to
avoid any accidents of serious burns or of hot iron falling down. Keep the appliance at any time out of
reach of children or persons who can not handle electric appliances properly.
• Do not leave packaging components (plastic bags, cardboard, polystyrene, etc.) within the reach of
children, as it could be dangerous - Danger of suffocation!
• Caution! Danger of electric shock! Appliance, cord and plug should never get into contact with
water or any other liquids to avoid the risk of electric shock:
- never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water or any other liquid
- for any reason whatsoever
- the cord should never get wet or get in contact with moist things.
- never use the appliance near a sink, or bathtub to avoid danger of falling into water
- never touch the appliance with wet hands or standing on a wet ground
- never place the appliance on wet ground
- never use the appliance outdoors
• Do not operate any appliance if:
- power cord is damaged
- in case of malfunction or if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner
Special tools are required to repair the appliance. In any case ask a (*)competent qualified
electrician to check and repair it.
• From time to time check if the cord is damaged. In this case or if the appliance is damaged it must not be
used any more. Should the cord or the appliance be damaged, it must be replaced or repaired by a
competent qualified electrician(*) to avoid any danger caused by electric current.
(*)Competent qualified electrician: after sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is
qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger.
• Caution fire danger!
- Always use special synthetic foil which is suited for bag sealers only
- Let the unit cool down after each sealing process before using again
- Do not place the unit below inflamable objects as curtains or drapes
- Do not place or store the unit near heat sources as hot oven, cooking plate or cooker
- Keep the cord away from heat, direct sun and moisture or sharp edges to avoid damage
• Caution danger of burn! During operation of electrical caloric appliances, high temperatures – by
boiling water, hot steam or hot body – are generated, which may cause injuries. Avoid touching hot
parts of the appliance. Never touch the welding wire directly after sealing cause it gets hot during
operation.
• Avoid long hair or scarf hanging over the appliance during operation.
• Unplug the appliance
- when malfunction occurs
- before changing accessories or cleaning the appliance
- if the appliance or the cord is damaged in any way
- whenever the appliance is not in use
• To unplug pull the plug only, never pull on the cord to avoid damage.
• Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not
wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it. From time to time check if the cord is damaged. In
this case or if the appliance is damaged it must not be used any more.
• Use original accessories only. Using other parts with the appliance can cause risk of injury and damage.
• Clean the appliance after each use after it has been cooled down, cause it is in contact with food (see
chapter "Cleaning and maintenance".
• Do not wind the cord around the appliance but use the cord storage in the bottom and protect the cord
against damage. If the cord has been damaged it must be replaced by a qualified electrician.
• Never try to open or repair the appliance yourself and do never stick metall objects (screw diver) inside.
In case of any problems always contact the service hot line to avoid any risk of danger and injury.
• Store the appliance in a dry ansd safe place.
