2. Flush doors
1. Place template for “Flush Door C” at the desired height
onto the edge of the door-frame. Mark the holes and pre-drill.
(Wood 3 mm, steel frame 4 mm Ø).
2. Screw on lock case as described in Folding doors, but without bases,
using screws 4.8 x 32 mm.
Fitting the lock box with cylinder
Note:
To give the outer cylinder extra protection against attacks and
manipulation, we recommend the use of Reinforced Plate PZS 4060
(see also information enclosed).
1. With the door closed place the template cut-out on the lock case.
Mark the centre of the bore hole Ø 32 mm
(A = door hinge on the right, B = door hinge on the left)
and the 4 bore holes E on the door.
2. Pre-drill the 4 fastening holes E with Ø 2.5 mm. Do not drill through
door, if necessary work with drill depth-stop. Drill cylinder hole with
bore-type cutter or keyhole saw Ø 32 mm through the door.
Tip:
To ensure that you drill straight all the way through, pre-drill cylinder
hole through the door 3 mm Ø and bore on both sides with 32 mm Ø.
Insert cylinder with escutcheon (fig. 8) from outside into the 32-mm hole
so that the engaging rod does not protrude more than 3– 6 mm from
the inside of the door (cut off if necessary). The cylinder is not fitted for
the time being.
4. Remove back base-plate (fig. 9) by loosening the two screws
M5 x 90 mm. The engaging pin (fig. 9.2) is underneath.
Place base plate on the door-leaf and fasten with screws 4.8 x 32.
Insert the cylinder so that the cylinder engaging rod takes in the base
plate slit (fig. 9.1). With the key out, the engaging pin (fig. 9.2)
must be underneath and the ABUS lettering on the top of the outer
cylinder.
5. Screw the outer cylinder on through the base plate.
With doors 35–50 mm thick use screws M6 x 40 and with doors
30–90 mm thick use the M6 x 80 screws that can be cut off
(Tighten by hand, do not use any electric screwdrivers).
Guidance on locking direction:
The locking direction of the lock box for models 4010, 4025, 4030,
4035 is pre-fitted for DIN-right doors. If the locking direction has to be
changed for DIN-left doors, the bolt has to be switched over as follows:
1. Remove the two snap rings (fig. 10.1) from the twist-locks.
2. Remove the bolt set (fig. 10.2), turn 180° and re-insert.
Press snap rings on again.
It is not necessary to switch the locking direction over with model 4020.
6. Fully retract the lock box bolt. Place lock box on base plate and fasten
with the M5 x 90 mm screws (fig. 11).
Check that the door works. Close and open, if necessary adjust.
VI. Operating
From outside with a key, from inside with the turning knob
(4010, 4020, 4030) or key (4025, 4035). To bolt fully from outside,
lock with 2 complete turn, from inside with 1 complete turn.
Stirrup feature (4030, 4035): lock from outside with 1 complete turn,
from inside with
1
/2 turn, the door can be opened ajar.
To open the door raise stirrup, close door, retract bolt fully.
Latch lock 4020: the latch (bolt) can be set in open mode.
To set this feature, turn the knob until the latch is retracted inside
the casing, then pull out the button (fig. 12). To activate the latch press
the button in.
Tip:
Your ABUS Additional Door Lock is maintenance-free and should
not be cleaned with caustic cleaning agents.
We do recommend, though, that you treat the cylinder with
ABUS Care Spray PS 88 if necessary.
2. Portes à fleur
1. Placer le gabarit correspondant aux gâches «Porte à fleur C»
à la hauteur souhaitée sur le bord du cadre de porte.
Marquer et percer les trous (bois 3 mm, dormant en acier 4 mm Ø).
2. Fixer la gâche comme pour les portes à recouvrement, mais sans cale,
à l’aide des vis 4,8 x 32 mm.
Montage du palastre avec un cylindre
Remarque:
Pour protéger le cylindre extérieur contre toute attaque ou mani-
pulation, nous vous recommandons l’utilisation de la plaque de blindage
PZS 4060 (voir informations jointes).
1. Placer la découpe (partie frontale) sur la gâche de la porte fermée.
Marquer le centre du trou Ø 32 mm (A = charnière à droite,
B = charnière à gauche) et les 4 trous sur la porte.
Percer les 4 trous de fixation Ø 3 mm. Ne pas transpercer la porte;
le cas échéant, travailler avec une butée. Percer dans la porte un trou
cylindrique à l’aide de la fraise ou de la scie d’entrée Ø 32 mm.
Conseil:
Pour obtenir un trou parfaitement droit, percer un trou cylindrique
Ø 3 mm dans la porte puis aléser Ø 32 mm sur les deux côtés.
En partant de l’extérieur, enfoncer le cylindre dans le trou Ø 32 mm
à l’aide de la rosace (schéma 8) de manière à ce que la tige d’entraîne-
ment (schéma 8.1) ne dépasse pas l’intérieur de la porte de plus de
3–6 mm (le cas échéant, raccourcir). Le cylindre n’est pas encore monté.
4. Retirer la plaque de montage arrière (schéma 9) en desserrant les
deux vis M5 x 90 mm. La goupille d’entraînement se situe dessous
(schéma 9.2). Placer la plaque de montage sur le battant de la porte
et la fixer à l’aide de vis 4,8 x 32. Placer le cylindre de manière à ce que
la goupille d’entraînement du cylindre entre dans la fente (schéma 9.1)
de la plaque de montage. Lorsque la clé est retirée, la goupille
d’entraînement (schéma 9.2) doit se trouver sur la partie inférieure
et l’écriture ABUS figurant sur le cylindre extérieur doit se trouver sur
la partie supérieure.
5. Visser le cylindre extérieur dans la plaque de montage.
Pour des épaisseurs de porte 35–50 mm, utiliser les vis M6 x 40
et pour les épaisseurs de porte 30-90 mm, utiliser les vis M6 x 80
à longueur réglable (Visser à la main, ne pas utiliser de visseuse
électrique).
Remarque relative au sens de fermeture:
Le sens de fermeture des palastres des modèles 4010, 4025, 4030,
4035 est conçu en vue des portes à fixation par la droite. Pour les portes
à fixation par la gauche, le verrou doit être changé de place de la manière
suivante:
1. Retirer les deux circlips (schéma 10.1) des boulons de verrouillage.
2. Retirer le verrou (schéma 10.2), le tourner de 180° et le remonter.
Replacer les circlips.
Le modèle 4020 ne nécessite pas de changement de place du verrou.
6. Retirer le verrou du palastre. Placer le palastre sur la plaque
de montage et fixer à l’aide des vis M5 x 90 mm (schéma 11).
Vérifier le fonctionnement de la porte. Fermer et ouvrir,
et apporter les éventuels réglages nécessaires.
VI. Utilisation
A l’extérieur au moyen d’une clé, à l’intérieur au moyen d’un bouton
tournant (4010, 4020, 4030) ou d’une clé (4025, 4035).
Pour verrouiller intégralement la porte, faire deux tours complets
de l’extérieur, et 1 tour complet de l’intérieur.
Fonctionnement de l’entrebâilleur (4030, 4035): fermer en faisant
1 tour complet de l’extérieur,
1
/2 tour de l’intérieur; la porte s’ouvre alors
de la largeur d’une fente. Pour ouvrir la porte, soulever l’entrebâilleur,
fermer la porte et ouvrir le verrou.
Serrure à loquet 4020: Le loquet (verrou) peut être bloqué en position
ouverte. Pour obtenir cette fonction, tourner le bouton jusqu’à ce que
le loquet soit entièrement retiré dans le boîtier, puis tirer le bouton vers
l’extérieur (schéma 12). Pour activer le loquet, appuyer sur le bouton.
Conseil:
Votre serrure de porte supplémentaire ABUS ne nécessite aucun
entretien et ne doit pas être nettoyée à l’aide d’un détergent puissant.
Il est toutefois recommandé de traiter le cylindre avec un spray
ABUS PS 88 en cas de besoin.
