Spotz Maker Instructions
Out of the Box:
Remove the Spotz Maker from the box, carefully collecting all of the small
pieces and properly disposing of all trash while being careful not to throw
away any valuable product.
Package Contents:
Read instructions before use, and keep for future reference.
Batteries:
Caution! Always have an adult perform the battery installation.
Once the Spotz Maker is out of the box, use a Phillips-head screwdriver to
loosen the screw over the battery case.
Insert 3 AAA batteries properly aligning the positive and negative ends using the
diagram provided and replace the battery cover.
Tighten the screw and you are ready to go!
Making a Spotz:
Making a Spotz is fun and easy! Choose it, Punch it, and Twist it!
Choose it!
Choose your image! There are three ways to pick out your favorite images: Use
one of the included pre-printed images, print your own designs from your
computer with the included transparent blank page by going to the Spotz website
(http://www.zizzle.com/spotz), or use any image you own, from your own
photographs to magazine clippings to your own drawings! There's no limit to the
style you can create!
Note: In order to maintain normal operation, do not place more than one sheet in the
Spotz Maker at a time.
To use a pre-printed image (included), pick one that you want to use. Then, tear off
the surrounding 2" x 2" square from the sheet.
Next, place your image into the guide tray, making sure that the 2” x 2” square fits
within the ridges on the tray. Close the tray and you’re ready to…
Punch it!
Place the guide tray into the Spotz Maker, then press down on the handle to
punch out your image.
Once the image slides out, grab it, and you are ready to…
Twist It!
Pick a colorful holder and place it in the circular tray. Next, place your newly
punched image inside the colorful holder. Then, gently place a clear protective
piece on top of your image and colorful holder.
IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION:
CAUTION: As with all batteries, the batteries used with this toy should be kept
away from small children who still put things in their mouths. If they are swallowed,
promptly see a doctor and have the doctor phone the poison control center. Make
sure that batteries are inserted correctly and follow the toy and battery
manufacturer's instructions.

Spotz Maker
uses three (3) AAA batteries
- When replacing, replace all three (3) at the same time.
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard or rechargeable batteries.
- Do not dispose of used batteries in a fire. This could cause the batteries to explode.
- Battery installation should be done by an adult.
- Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
- Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged
(if removable).
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision
(if removable).
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
- Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
- The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
- Replace with new batteries at the first sign of erratic operation.

Caution: changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible
for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
90-DAY LIMITED WARRANTY (For USA only)
Zizzle, L.L.C. (“Zizzle”) warrants to the original consumer purchaser of this
product that it will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for 90 days
from the date of original purchase. This warranty does not cover damages
resulting from accident, negligence, improper service or use or other causes not
arising out of defects in materials or workmanship.
During this 90-day warranty period, the product will either be repaired or
replaced (at Zizzle’s option) without charge to the purchaser, when returned to
Zizzle with proof of the date of purchase.
Product returned to Zizzle without proof of the date of purchase or after the
90-day limited warranty period has expired, but prior to one year from the
original date of purchase, will be repaired or replaced (at Zizzle's option) for a
service fee of U.S.$14.20. Payments must be by check or money order payable to
Zizzle, L.L.C.
The foregoing states the purchaser's sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of warranty
with respect to the product.

The product should be carefully packed in the original box or other packing
materials sufficient to avoid damage during shipment. Include a complete
written description of the defect, a check if product is beyond the 90-day limited
warranty period, and your printed name, address and telephone number.
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND NO OTHER
REPRESENTATIONS OR CLAIMS OF ANY NATURE SHALL BE BINDING ON OR
OBLIGATE ZIZZLE IN ANY WAY. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES APPLICABLE TO
THIS PRODUCT, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE NINETY (90)
DAY PERIOD DESCRIBED ABOVE. IN NO EVENT WILL ZIZZLE BE LIABLE FOR
ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING
FROM POSSESSION, USE, OR MALFUNCTION OF THIS PRODUCT.
Some states do not allow limitations as to how long an implied warranty lasts
and/or exclusions or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the
above limitations and/or exclusions of liability may not apply to you. This
warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights, which
vary from state to state.

SpotzLite: Light up your world with the SpotzLite. Place any Spotz in the
SpotzLite and watch your style glow! Press the SpotzLite again to turn off the
glowing feature.
Spotz Display Holders: There is room to display 5 Spotz on the Spotz
Maker. Show the world who you are and swap them out whenever your mood
changes!
Jotz: Cool, jazzy jewels spice up your world in fun, fabulous colors!
Jotz Holders: Display tons of Jotz on your Spotz Maker to glam it up!
Storage Drawer: Store your Spotz materials in the convenient drawer!
Troubleshooting:
Do not place any paper thicker than photograph paper in the Spotz Maker. If you
experience a problem punching out a Spotz, have an adult open the access panel
on the side of the Spotz Maker (using a Phillips screwdriver). This will allow an
adult to use a pair of tweezers to remove any paper which may affect performance.
Tip: to keep the punching mechanism in good working order, occasionally
place a 2" x 2" square of aluminum foil in the guide tray and insert it into the
Spotz Maker. Press down on the handle several times to sharpen the
punching mechanism.
