GLOSSARY
Active area. The area of the Cintiq where your tools are detected.
Application-specific settings
. Cintiq tool and Cintiq settings that have been customized for individual
applications. The Wacom Tablet control panel enables you to customize a tool to behave uniquely in
different applications. Application-specific settings
are in effect whenever you use the application.
Aspect
. The ratio between the vertical and horizontal dimension of the active area on the Cintiq.
Click force
. The amount of force you must apply to the pen tip for a click to occur.
Double-click assist
. A function of the Wacom Tablet control panel that makes it easier to double-click by
setting the size of the double-click distance.
Double-click distance
. The maximum distance (in screen pixels) that the screen cursor can move between
clicks and still be accepted as a double-click. Increasing the double-click distance makes double-clicking
easier, but may cause a delay in brush strokes in some graphics applications.
Eraser-aware application
. A software application that has built-in support for the pen eraser.
These applications take advantage of the eraser in different ways, depending on what makes sense for
the application.
ExpressKeys
. The customizable control keys located on the Cintiq. See using the ExpressKeys.
Fingerwheel
. The control wheel on the optional Airbrush.
Hardware control buttons
. The function buttons on the Cintiq. See using the expresskeys, rocker ring and
home button.
Journal
. A Microsoft Windows application that electronically simulates a physical journal pad, but with the
advantages of digital note taking. For example, you can create quick sketches and jot handwritten notes
that can be converted to text and sent on to colleagues for digital mark-up. Journal includes a variety of
pen, marker, and highlighter tools, plus an eraser that is easily activated by the eraser end of your Wacom
pen. Additionally, your handwritten content is searchable within Journal.
LED
. Light-Emitting Diode. Used as pen display indicator light(s).
Modifier
. Modifier keys include SHIFT, ALT, and CTRL for Windows, or SHIFT, CONTROL, COMMAND, and OPTION
for Mac. You can customize your Cintiq tool buttons or ExpressKeys to simulate a modifier key.
Mouse acceleration
. A setting that allows you to adjust the screen cursor acceleration when using mouse
mode.
Mouse mode
. A method for positioning the screen cursor. When you place a Cintiq tool on the tablet, you
can move the screen cursor with a “pick up and slide” motion similar to using a traditional mouse. This is
known as relative positioning. See also pen mode

Nib
. The replaceable pen tip.
Parallax
. The angular distortion of an object’s position when viewed through glass or other medium.
You must calibrate the Cintiq to compensate for this effect, and to align the screen cursor with the position
of the pen on the screen.

  • ik heb een cintiq HD13. Ik werk met photoshop elements 2018. Als ik teken met de kwast en ik raak met mijn pen het tablet aan, dan komt er een cirkel rond de pen en komt instellingen kwast als window. Ik heb van alles geprobeerd uit te schakelen, ik heb photoshop elements als programma ingevoegd en opnieuw instellingen gedaan, maar ik krijg die cirkel niet weg. Alleen als ik door teken. Maar dat gaat niet als ik bijvoorbeeld een oog (rondje) wil tekenen. De tablet reageert alsof ik mijn re muis aanklik als ik voor het eerst de tablet aanraak in Photoshop elements.Wie kan mij helpen?     • Ik gebruik beroepsmatig al vele jaren een digital graphic tablet , dus ik kan niet meer zonder. Belangrijk is de grootte (lees: hij moet groot zijn) zodat je fijn en gedetailleerd kan werken zonder door je beeld te moeten hoppen (overpakken).

      Ik gebruik nu (en mn vrouw heeft er ook een) een XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro ( alternatieven voor Cintiq ) tekentablet met scherm . Goed spul dus. Die is ergens onder de 450 euro.

      Met de XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro teken je direct op het scherm . 15.6 inch HD tekenscherm met 8 Express keys en een Touch Ring .kleurenweergave tot wel 88% NTSC wide color gamut . Het 1920 x 1080 HD IPS scherm met zijn hoge resolutie heeft een kijkhoek van 178°, geeft 16,7 miljoen kleuren weer , Werk nauwkeurig met 8192 drukniveaus.

      Daar is ook al heel goed mee te werken is mijn ervaring... Ben vooral onder de indruk van de nauwkeurigheid van deze tablets...

  • Het scherm blijft zwart, ik zie mijn buroblad niet verschijnen op de cintic en mn cursor verschijnt op het scherm van mijn apple
