Instructions for steaming
Place the appliance on a at, stable surface.
Fill the water tank (7) directly with cold water to the MAX mark of the water level indicator.
ATTENTION:
When overlled boiling water may spurt out of the appliance during operation!
Do not add anything directly to the water (seasonings etc.) as such may impair its
circulation as well as damage the surfaces of both water tank and heating element.
Now place the black condensate collection basin (5) in the base.
Depending on the quantity of food to be steamed you can use either the bottom steam
tray or both steam trays.
Place your food in the containers and put them on the base. Then place the cover on top.
Ensure that all parts are correctly positioned before operating the appliance.
Never use bowls and other parts which have not been specially designed for the appliance.
Connect the plug to the electrical outlet. Set the timer to the time required. The control
lamp will light up. After approx. 3 - 4 minutes it will start to steam. During the steaming
process, condensation will collect on the cover.
By turning the knob, the time may be adjusted at any time. To turn off the appliance manu-
ally, turn the knob of the timer to 0.
Please consider: The timer works independent of the electricity supply. Therefore ensure
that the control lamp lights up when the time is being set.
Attention: The appliance will become hot during steaming: Hazard of burning!
When the steaming process is complete, the timer will emit a signal tone and the control
lamp will go out. The appliance switches off automatically.
Always use oven gloves or a kitchen towel when touching the cover or the steam trays.
Lift the cover slowly, turned away from the body and let the steam escape rst. Hold the
cover over the appliance in a position allowing any condensed water gathered on it to drip
into the steamer. Do not grasp into the appliance during the steaming process. If checking
to see if the food is steamed, use a long-handled fork.
Remove the steamer trays and place them on a plate.
Always unplug the appliance after use and before cleaning it.
