4.5.4 Closing edge safety device
Various types of closing edge safety device can be used to provide protection
for the closing edge of a door.
- Electromechanical closing edge safety device with a connected resistance
of 8.2 kohm
- Optical closing edge safety device (Marantec / Fraba "OSE")
Electromechanical closing edge safety device, 8.2 kohm
Figure 4-2 shows how to connect a closing edge safety device with a
connected resistance of 8.2 kohm to the system. (Meets the requirements of
EN ISO 13849-1, Category 2/Performance Level "c".).
Attention! Design features must be incorporated into the door
system to prevent the closing edge safety device from being
triggered when it reaches the end of travel position at the bottom.
