Devices such as portable CD players or MP3 players can
be plugged into the 3.5mm AUX input jack on the front
of the right speaker using a 3.5mm auxilliary cable.
Control the volume with the control on the front of your
LS11 speaker, or your auxiliary input source.

Speakers produce weak or no sound.
• Make sure the speakers are plugged into an electrical outlet. Turn the volume
knob until it clicks and adjust the volume. Try a different outlet.
• Try connecting the speakers to an alternate audio source – for example, a CD
player, MP3 player, or radio. If there is sound from the speakers, the problem is
probably with your soundcard.
• Is the balance control centered in the Operating System (OS) audio mixer
application?
One speaker doesn’t produce sound.
• The audio plug must be securely inserted into the appropriate audio jacks.
• Is the soundcard balance control centered? Open your soundcard’s mixer
program as described in Section 3. Adjust the balance control for equal
volume on left and right.

Les haut-parleurs produisent un son faible ou aucun son.

Assurez-vous que les haut-parleurs sont raccordés à une prise électrique. Tournez le
bouton de volume jusqu’à entendre un clic puis réglez le volume. Essayez une autre prise.
• Connectez les haut-parleurs à une autre source audio (un lecteur de CD, un lecteur
MP3 ou une radio, par exemple). Si les haut-parleurs produisent du son, le problème
vient certainement de la carte son.
• La balance de l’application de mixage audio du système d’exploitation est-elle centrée?
L’un des haut-parleurs ne produit aucun son.
• Veillez à connecter correctement les prises du câble audio aux entrées audio
correspondantes.
• La balance de la carte son est-elle centrée? Ouvrez le programme de mixage de votre
carte son comme décrit dans la section 3. Réglez la balance de façon à équilibrer le

Most types of analog headphones with a 3.5mm
connector can be plugged into the headphone jack on
the front of the right speaker. When you plug in
headphones, the speakers will be muted automatically. To
adjust the volume of your headphones, use the controls
for your soundcard or auxiliary sound source. Headphone
volume will not be affected by the LS11 volume control.

1. Insert the 3.5 mm plug into the audio jack on your
laptop, or soundcard.
2. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
3. Using the control on the front of the right satellite,
turn the LS11 on and adjust the speaker volume.
4. Open your soundcard’s mixer program.

• Go to the START menu, choose CONTROL PANEL,
then SOUND AND AUDIO DEVICES.
• Choose the AUDIO tab, select your SOUNDCARD as
the SOUND PLAYBACK DEVICE.
• Choose the VOLUME tab, adjust VOLUME SLIDER as
necessary. The wave slider should be on the highest
setting. Do not select MUTE option.
• Select TEST HARDWARE tab to ensure proper
installation.
Windows Vista
®
• Go to the START menu, choose CONTROL PANEL,
choose CLASSIC VIEW, choose SOUNDS.
• Choose the PLAYBACK tab, select your
SOUNDCARD as the SOUND PLAYBACK device if it
is not already set as Default. Verify the SPEAKER
ICON is NOT muted.
• Perform test.

®
OSX
• Go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES, Choose SOUND.
• Choose the OUTPUT tab, select your
SOUNDCARD as the SOUND OUTPUT DEVICE,
adjust the OUTPUT VOLUME SLIDER to the
desired level. Verify the MUTE box is unchecked.

comme dispositif de lecture des sons si elle n’est

du haut-parleur n’est pas mise en sourdine.
• Procédez au test.

• Dans Préférences Système, sélectionnez Son.
• Dans l’onglet Sortie, définissez la carte son
comme périphérique de sortie et réglez le
niveau du volume de sortie à l’aide du curseur.
Vérifiez que l’option Muet n’est pas sélectionnée.
