BEFORE USE IT IS IMPORTANT TO CAREFULLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS
AND WARNINGS CONTAINED IN THIS MANUAL AND TO KEEP IT IN A GOOD
CONDITION
Your new Laica blender will allow you to puree cooked ingredients to rapidly
prepare healthy and nutritious meals for babies and to prepare healthy drinks for
the whole family, blending liquids and fresh fruit. Easy to use, simply place the
ingredients in the container, blend, invert and serve.
Thanks to the practical lid with handle and spout, the inverted container becomes
a travel bottle. With instant ignition with pulse function, stainless steel blades and
safety shut-off. Mains operation.
GENERAL WARNINGS
The use of any electrical appliance involves the observance of certain basic rules:
• Remove the plug from the power socket immediately after use of the appliance
and, in any case, always before cleaning it and before inserting or removing the
accessories.
• Do not pull the power cord or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the
wall socket.
• If an electrical appliance falls into water, do not attempt to extract it, but
immediately remove the plug from the wall socket.
• Never immerse the motor base in water or other liquids.
• Never leave the appliance running unsupervised. Do not allow the
appliance to be used by children less than 14 years of age, invalids or
disabled individuals.
• Children and individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capacities or unskilled people may only use the product if previously
instructed on its safe use and only if informed of the dangers connected
to the product itself. Children must not play with the appliance.
• This appliance is intended to be used exclusively for the use for which it was
designed and in the manner indicated in the user instructions. Any other use is
considered inappropriate and therefore dangerous.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from misuse
or incorrect use.
• Before use, ensure the appliance is intact with no visible damage. If in doubt,
do not use the appliance and contact your retailer.
• In case of fault and/or malfunction, switch off the appliance without tampering
with it. For repairs always contact your retailer.
• Keep the appliance away from heat sources.
• Ensure hands are dry when inserting or disconnecting the plug and when
pressing the container on the motor base to blend food.
• This appliance must only be used with the voltage shown on the base of the
product.
• If using extension leads, ensure that they are adequate for the appliance power.
Inadequate extension leads can cause malfunctions.
• Do not expose the appliance to atmospheric agents (rain, sun, etc.), high
temperatures or place near computers or other electronic instruments.
• To avoid dangerous overheating it is advisable to unwind the power cord along
its entire length.
• Remove the plug from the wall socket when the appliance is not being used.
• Do not let the electric cord hang down in a place where it could be handled by
a child.
• Attention! Under no circumstances tamper with the electric cable. In case of
damage contact your retailer.
• Keep the packaging parts away from children (risk of suffocation and
strangulation).
SPECIAL WARNINGS
• Place the device on a flat, rigid and waterproof surface; keep the electric cord
away from heat sources.
• Do not use the electric blender outdoors.
• Do not use the blender when empty (i.e. without food or liquid inside the
container).
• Do not use the blender without inserting the blade block in one of the containers
provided.
• Only remove the container from the motor base when the blades have stopped.
• Do not use the blender if the blades are damaged.
• Never touch the moving parts!
• Do not leave the blade block inserted on the motor base without having
correctly fitted it to one of the supplied containers (risk of injury).
• Attention! Failure to observe the following precautions can result in injury. The
blades are sharp. Pay attention during filling of the containers, opening and
closing of the blade block and cleaning.
• Do not use the blender to chop excessively hard foods (e.g. fruit with nuts and
meat with bones).
• Do not blend hot liquids but leave them to cool before placing them in the
containers provided.
• Do not cover or insert objects into the openings of the blender.
• Attention! This is not a toy but a blender for home use. Do not leave the
appliance unattended even when not in use.
• For your safety only use Laica original parts.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
• Place in the containers first the liquid and then the solid ingredients.
• To obtain excellent smoothies, introduce the desired ingredients in the container
in this order: liquids, fresh ingredients, frozen fruits, yoghurt and ice cream. To
also use ice, introduce it after the liquid before the other ingredients.
• Cut solid ingredients into small pieces.
• Do not overfill the container as this may stop the motor. In this case, immediately
switch off the blender, remove the plug from the wall socket and allow to cool
for at least 15 minutes. Remove excess ingredients and repeat.
• The appliance is not suitable for mashing potatoes, whipping egg whites or
dairy products, for mixing solid mixtures or chopping raw meat.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before using your blender for the first time, it is advisable to wash all the parts,
except for the motor base, in hot water and washing up liquid. Be very careful
when handling the blade unit to avoid injury. Dry all the accessories
thoroughly with a cloth before inserting them in the motor base.
• PREPARING MEALS FOR CHILDREN:
The Laica blender purees already cooked ingredients to prepare healthy
and nutritious meals for children. Always consult your paediatrician for
information regarding your child's diet.
1) Place the motor base on a flat, rigid surface.
2) Choose the container to be used from among those provided (we recommend
that you use one of the 170 ml containers for a single portion of baby food).
3) Place the container on a horizontal surface with the opening facing up and
insert the desired already cooked ingredients, cut into small pieces, without
exceeding the maximum level indicated on the container itself. It is advisable
to insert first the liquid and then the solid ingredients.
Do not blend large amounts of ingredients. Proceed gradually, adding a few
pieces at a time.
4) Place the blade unit facing down over the opening of the container and screw
it clockwise until it is completely closed.
5) Invert the container in order to position it in the motor base aligning the
arrows of the housing of the motor unit with those of the blade unit (fig.1).
6) Insert the plug into the wall socket.
7) Blend the ingredients in the following ways:
a. lightly press the container on the motor base (pulsed operation). The
device stops working as soon as you remove your hand from the
container.
b. slightly screw the container to the motor base in a clockwise direction.
The blender is immediately activated. To switch it off, unscrew the
container from the motor base rotating it counter-clockwise
8) Remove the plug from the wall socket and wait until the blades have
completely stopped before removing the container from the motor base.
9) Invert the container and place it on a hard flat surface.
10) To open the container, unscrew the blade unit clockwise, paying attention to
avoid injury.
Is it possible to use the container to feed baby immediately or simply close it
with the lid with pouring spout and place it in the refrigerator.
Baby food must be eaten within 24 hours of preparation.
Ensure the baby food has the right consistency and does not contain lumps
before giving it to your baby. If the consistency is still too solid, add liquid
(for example the broth from the cooking of vegetables) until it is soft and
