4-Thread Overlock
When the upper looper thread lies on the underside of the fabric
Move the upper looper thread tension lever (green) •
toward a higher position.
Or, move lower looper thread tension À ne tuning lever •
(blue) toward a lower position.
When the lower looper thread appears on the top of the fabric
Move the lower looper thread tension À ne tuning lever •
(blue) toward a higher position.
Or, move the upper looper thread tension À ne tuning •
lever (green) toward a lower position.
When the left needle thread tension is too loose
Move the needle thread tension À ne tuning lever (yellow) •
toward a higher position.
When the right needle thread tension is too loose
Move the right needle thread tension À ne tuning lever •
(red) toward a higher position.

When the lower looper thread appears on the top of the fabric
Move the lower looper thread tension À ne tuning lever •
(blue) to a higher position.
Or, move the upper looper thread tension À ne tuning •
lever (green) lever toward a lower position.
When the right needle thread is too loose
Move the right needle thread tension À ne tuning lever •
(red) toward a higher position.
When the Chainstitch needle thread tension is too loose
Move the Chainstitch needle thread tension À ne tuning •
lever (yellow) toward a higher position.
Or, move the Chainstitch looper thread tension À ne •

FINE TUNING TENSION SETTINGS
Thread tension is automatically set when selecting a stitch type with the stitch selection dial, but it may have to be À ne tuned
with the À ne tuning levers depending on:
• Type and thickness of the fabric
• Needle size
• Size, type and À bre content of the thread
