Wireless
When you install your HP printer software, you will be guided through connecting your printer to a wireless network.
You can also follow instructions on the wireless quick start guide to set up the printer wirelessly. To print the guide, press
and hold the
(Information) button on the printer for three seconds.
After you have connected the printer, you can still use the printer software to change the connection type (for example,
from a wireless connection to a USB or Ethernet connection or vice versa). For more information, see the Help installed
with the printer software (see “Learn more” on page 1).
With HP wireless direct, you can print wirelessly from a computer, smartphone, tablet, or other wireless-capable
device—without connecting to an existing wireless network. For more information, see the electronic Help.
Solve wireless problems
Make sure the wireless (802.11) light is turned on
If the blue light on the printer control panel is not lit, wireless might be turned o. To turn on wireless, press the
(Wireless) button. If the blue wireless light is blinking, it means the printer is not connected to a network. Use the
printer software to connect the printer wirelessly.

Make sure the computer is connected to the wireless network
Make sure your computer is connected to your wireless network. If you cannot connect the computer to the network,
contact the person who set up your network or the router manufacturer; there might be a hardware issue with the
router or computer.
Run the wireless test
To check that the wireless connection is working properly, print the wireless test report.
1. Make sure the printer is turned on and paper is loaded in the tray.
2. On the printer control panel, press and hold the (Wireless) button and the (Information) button together.
The printer prints a report with the results of the test.
If the test fails, review the report for information on how to x the problem and run the test again.
If the wireless signal is weak, try moving the printer closer to the wireless router.
Restart components of the wireless network
Turn o the router and the printer, and then turn them back on in this order: router rst and then printer. Sometimes,
turning o devices and then turning them back on helps resolve network communication issues. If you still cannot
connect, turn o the router, the printer, and the computer, and then turn them back on in this order: router rst, then
printer, and then computer.
If the wireless connection cannot be made, the printer can also be connected to the network using an Ethernet cable.

help you prepare your wireless network; solve problems when connecting the printer to the wireless network;
and resolve security software issues.

  • Ik probeer foto's af te drukken maar de printer neemt het fotopapier niet op voor te printen ook al is het van
    HP professional paper 180. Kan de printer deze papiersoort verwerken of is er iets anders fout.

    • enveloppen kunnen niet zoals papier ingevoegd worden.
      Haal alle papier eruit en plaats de enveloppen met de plakrand links naar beneden
      Schuif de beide zwarte schuiven (links en rechts) naar het midden tegen de envelop aan.
      De printer behandeld deze dan alsof het gewoon papier is.

  • Led-verlichting van de cartridges knippert en verspringt onophoudelijk van links naar rechts.
    Het document gaat wel in de wachtrij, maar afdrukken lukt niet.

    • HP heeft een software (firmware) die namaak cartridges toestaan in de printer.
      Mogelijk ligt daar de oplossing.
