General safety instructions
Please read carefully the Operating Instructions.
Familiarise with the setting and correct use of the appliance.
The Operating Instructions need to be read thoroughly
before first use of the appliance. Should you have any doubts
concerning the appliance connection and service, please
contact the producer (service department).
The appliance can only be put into operation with a safety
switch of the stray current (RCD).
TO ENSURE A HIGH SAFETY LEVEL, PLEASE FOLLOW
CAREFULLY THE BELOW-MENTIONED INSTRUCTIONS:
ATTENTION
1. The working person is responsible for safety of by-
standers.
2. Keep children and pets in a safe distance from the running
Multiclean 3 in 1 vacuum cleaner (at least 6 m).
3. Always wear safe, antislip shoes, gloves, protective
glasses and long trousers when working with the
Multiclean 3 in 1 vacuum cleaner.
4. Never aim at face with your Multiclean 3 in 1.
5. Make sure your hands, legs, hair or parts of your clothes
do not get near outlets of moving parts.
6. Do not wear loose clothes or jewels that could be drawn in
the air inlets.
7. Make always sure the leaf vacuum cleaner is properly
assembled before putting into operation.
8. Never use the Multiclean 3 in 1 vacuum cleaner when
raining or wet.
9. Regularly check the main line and have it replaced in an
authorised service centre or by a qualified repairman if any
part is damaged.
10. Keep all handles and holders dry and clean.
11. Before switching your Multiclean 3 in 1 on, make sure that
all outer nuts, screws and bolts are firmly tightened and
secured.
12. Never let the Multiclean 3 in 1 vacuum cleaner run when
laying on side. The appliance was only designed for work
in a vertical position.
13. Do not vacuum flammable materials, e.g. cigarette-ends or
grill coal remnants.
14. Do not vacuum any flammable, toxic or explosive
materials.
15. Do not vacuum wet leaves / rubbish with the appliance.
16. Never use Multiclean 3 in 1 if the collection bag is not
assembled.
17. Do not cross roads or earth ways when Multiclean 3 in 1 is
on.
18. Do not put anything to the inlet with your hands.
19. Wear protective glasses when working with the Multiclean
3 in 1 vacuum cleaner.
20. Do not let foreign persons get to the appliance. Keep
all visitors and by-standers, especially children and ill or
weak persons in a safe distance from the working place.
Make sure no other persons can touch the appliance.
21. Do not use the appliance in wet, icy or snowy
conditions!
22. Ensure safe storing of tools. Store the appliance, if not
used, to a dry elevated place, if possible, or secure it so as
it was not accessible to other persons.
23. Ensure reasonable clothing. Your clothing must suit to
the work purpose and must not limit you in any way.
24. Wear personal protective aids. Wear safety shoes with
steel heels/toe boxes and rough sole.
25. Wear hearing protection aids. Wear personal hearing
protection aids, e.g. ear pegs.
26. Be always careful. Pay attention to what you are
doing. Use common sense when working. Do not use
engine-driven appliances when you are tired. Do not work
with the leaf vacuum cleaner when you are impaired,
intoxicated or when you have consumed any
pharmaceuticals.
27. Time of use and breaks. You may face problems with
blood perfusion of your hands due to vibrations when the
appliance is used for a longer time. However, the time of
use can be extended by wearing suitable gloves and
making regular breaks. Remember that the time of use of
engine-driven appliances is reduced by personal diathesis
to poor blood perfusion, low outdoor temperatures or very
firm press of the tool when working.
28. Watch for any damaged parts. Inspect the appliance
before use. Are any parts damaged? If there is any light
damage then seriously consider whether the appliance is
able of safe and faultless working. Ensure correct
adjusting and setting of moving parts. Do any elements not
fit into each other the way they should? Are any of them
damaged? Is everything installed properly? Are all other
presumptions for faultless working fulfilled? Damaged
safety devices, etc. need to be repaired or replaced by
authorised rep
airmen unless explicitly stated otherwise in
the Operating Instructions. Have faulty switches replaced
in an authorised repair centre. If you need to have your
appliance repaired contact the nearest service centre.
29. Always disconnect the plug before any adjusting or
maintenance work.
30. Use approved parts only. Use only identical spare parts
for maintenance and repairs. For that purpose, contact an
authorised service centre.
Warning! Use of other suction nozzles, accessories and
extensions not expressly recommended can result in a threat to
both persons and objects.
The appliance can only be used for the defined purpose. Any
use of the appliance in conflict with its designation is considered
unauthorised handling. Only the user and not the producer in
any case is responsible for any damage to objects and injury of
persons resulting from such unauthorised handling.
The producer cannot be held liable for any damage due to
changes to the appliance or unauthorised use of the appliance.
ATTENTION!
Even when the appliance is used as designed there is
always a residual risk that cannot be eliminated. The
following potential risks can be derived from the type and
construction of the appliance:
contact with the turning fan (cutting injuries)
touching the running engine (cutting injuries)
hearing damage if reasonable protection aid is not worn
production of dust or gas harmful to health when the
appliance is used in closed rooms (qualm)
It is prohibited to stay in dangerous areas of the appliance.
Never allow children or any other persons not familiarised with
the Operating Instructions to use the appliance.
Local regulations can stipulate minimum age of the handling
person.
Never aim the sucking device at other persons, especially
children or animals present nearby. Keep in mind that the
appliance owner or user is responsible for any accidents
caused to other persons or their property.
