Changing the code number
Open the special menu as described further up.
When the security function is activated, “Security:
* * * *” is displayed in the second menu line.
Use the
|
key to select this line and enter the four-
digit code with the numeric keys.
After entering the correct code number, “Security :
. . . .” appears in the second menu line.
Enter the new four-digit code number with the
numeric keys.
Be sure to remember the code number or note it
down and keep it in a location which is accessible
only to you.
Press the
O
key to store the new code. This
activates automatically the security function.
“Security : * * * *” is shown in the menu line.

Have you forgotten your code number ?
If you should have forgotten your code number,
proceed as folows.
Switch on the receiver from stand-by, for example,
by pressing the
]
key.
With the security function activated,
“Security : . . . .” appears on red background on the
picture screen.
Press one after the other the keys

.
The message “Security : . . . . gelöscht” appears
briefly on the picture screen.
The code number is cleared and the security func-
tion deactivated.
Modulator

Changing the modulator channel
Open the special menu as described further up.
Use the
xc
keys to change the output channel
of the modulator between 21 and 60 in the “Modu-
lator” menu line.
Press
O
to store the setting.

You can assign the modulator the reception unit A
or B.

Using the Decoder Socket for a
Second Video Recorder
It is possible to connect a second video recorder
instead of the decoder to the decoder socket. This
is automatically assigned the reception unit A.
In this case, the setting “2. VCR Gerät” (for the
second video recorder) is required for the internal
signal distribution.
Open the special menu as described further up.
Use the
xc
keys to select the setting “Decoder”
or “2. VCR Gerät” in the “Scart DEC.” menu line.
Press
O
to store the setting.
Volume
The special function “Volume” allows for adjusting
the volume of the satellite programmes to the
volume of the terrestrial programmes. This adjust-
ment is global – it is not possible for individual pro-
gramme positions.
Open the special menu as described further up.
Use the
xc
keys to adjust the desired volume
in the “Volume” menu line.
Press
O
to store the setting.
Datalink
It is possible to transfer the data stored in one
STR 622 TWIN to another STR 622 TWIN.
For this, connect the VIDEO CONTROL sockets of
both receivers with a Cinch cable.
Connect both receivers to the power supply and
switch them on.

The menus of the receivers must be closed (if they
are open, “In Fo” appears in the displays of both
receivers).

If the target receiver is in stand-by, a data transmis-
sion (Datalink) is not possible.
Press the q key for 5 seconds on the sending
receiver.
It is not possible to call up the Datalink function
with the
O
key on the remote control.
“SEn” appears in the display of the sending receiver
and “rEc” in the display of the receiving receiver
(target).
When the data transfer is completed, the numbers
of the selected programme positions are shown in
the displays of both receivers.
