• Slide the pusher into the filling shaft.
• Slide the residue container under the outlet of the lid.
• Place the measuring jug under the juice spout.
PRACTICAL TIP: The cleaning process is being simplified by placing a plastic bag in the
residue container. In this way, you can remove the pulp without spilling.
HOW TO USE THE JUICE EXTRACTOR
• First wash the fruit and vegetables under running water.
• Check if the juice extractor is assembled correctly.
• Pull the plug into the socket (230 V.). Switch on the button.
• As soon as the motor is running, take out the pusher of the filling shaft and fill it. Do not fill the shaft
completely. Place back the pusher into the filling shaft and gently press down the food. With firmer
apple varieties a.o., you could feel a little resistance. Briefly press harder the apple until it touches
the grater. Then push gently again.
• The juice is running into the measuring jug and the residue into the residue container.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the residue container is not too full. In that case, the appliance will not
work properly or can even get damaged. Always switch off the juice extractor before emptying the
residue container.
DISASSEMBLING THE JUICE EXTRACTOR
• Switch off the juice extractor and pull the plug out of the socket.
• Remove the residue container from under the lid.
• Turn the lid towards you and lift it up.
• Turn the juice bowl within the stainless steel sieve to you and take it out. The stainless steel
sieve is loose, pay attention to it that it won’t drop out.
• Turn the juice bowl upside down on a plate or on the sink to remove the stainless steel sieve from
the juice bowl.
IMPORTANT: The stainless steel sieve is built up of small sharp knives on the grater. NEVER
touch the knives of the cutting surface with your hands. ALWAYS take the edge of the
stainless steel sieve.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Switch off the appliance and remove the power supply cord. Then disassemble the appliance.
• Slide the residue container out of the lid. Remove the lid, the juice bowl and the stainless steel sieve.
• Clean these parts under running water. NEVER clean the parts in the dish-washer.
• NEVER immerse the motor housing in water or any kind of fluid. The motor housing needs to be
cleaned with a damp cloth.
• All the other parts may be cleaned in hot soapy water.
• The stainless steel sieve can be cleaned easily with a nylon washing-up brush in warm soapy water.
NEVER immerse the stainless steel sieve in a bleaching product, you will damage your sieve.
PRACTICAL TIP: Strongly colouring food (e.g. beet, red cabbage, …) can leave behind a colour.
You can prevent this by cleaning the sieve immediately after use.
