SAFETY INFORMATION
Please observe the following points before using the quartz heater.
The appliance must only be used as described in the instructions for use. Use for any other purpose is
inadmissible! Any damage attributed to incorrect operation, improper use or non-observance of the safety
information will invalidate all liability and the warranty!
1. Read and save these instructions. Attention: pictures in the instruction manual are for reference only.
2. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
3. Children shall not play with the appliance.
4. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
5. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
6. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has
been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children
aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user
maintenance.
7. CAUTION — Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has
to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
8. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
9. WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. Do not use this
heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own,
unless constant supervision is provided.
10. The heater must be installed at least 1,8 m above the floor.
11. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications.
12. Check that the voltage on the rating label is the same as in your home.
13. Use the quartz heater only for 220-240volts AC, 50-60Hz.
14. The heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.
15. Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
16. Keep away the heater from inflammable materials such as carpets, curtains, plastics etc. and keep a
distance of at least 150 cm between the front grid and flammable subjects in the radiation area.
17. The pull switch only works by pulling it downwards vertically.
18. Cool down the quartz heater and wipe it dry only when it is cold. Do not touch the quartz tubes with the
fingers.
19. The heater warms up strongly during longer operation– therefore, do not touch the front grid.
20. Keep safe distances according to European standards and national regulations indicated in Fig. 3.
21. The heater may only be connected to compact installed lines of at least 1,0 mm².
22. After installation, the connection cable must not touch the appliance.
23. Do not use if the connection cable or the heater is damaged or the heater is defective.
24. Do not cover with clothes to be dried.
25. Do not place the connection cable or the pull switch on or around the hot heater.
26. After switching the heater off, please observe that it remains hot for some time.
27. Keep electrical appliances out of the reach of children or disabled persons. Do not let them use the
appliances without supervision.
28. The quartz heater must be mounted to the wall in horizontal position by a skilled worker.
