The Misuro B+, designed for Elite hometrainers, is a sensor that exchanges data via both Bluetooth Smart and ANT+TM protocol.
The Misuro B+ sensor has the ability to transmit speed, cadence and power data. Table 1 lists the sensor data that is available
based on the model of trainer being used.
In order to display Misuro B+ data, a device (smartphone, tablet, cycle computer, etc) compatible with the ANT+TM or Bluetooth Smart
protocols is needed. The ANT and the ANT+TM protocols are different, as are Bluetooth and Bluetooth Smart protocols: they are not
mutually compatible. Make sure that the device (smartphone, tablet, cycle computer, etc) that you intend to use with the Misuro B+
is compatible with these protocols, otherwise a connection and sensor data display will not be possible.
Devices must be compatible with the “ANT+ Speed&Cadence” ( ) protocol for speed and / or cadence data to be read by an ANT+
cycle computers or GPS navigation units.
In order to display Power data via the ANT protocol, the tablet / smartphone / cycle computer / GPS device must be compatible with
the ANT+ Power profile ( ).
A list of devices compatible with one or more of these protocols is available at the ANT+ website

In order to read speed and/or cadence data with a Bluetooth Smart Ready GPS device / cycle computer, the device must be
compatible with the “Speed&Cadence” profile for the Bluetooth Smart protocol. In order to display power data, the Bluetooth Smart
Ready cycle computer / GPS device must be compatible with the “ANT+ Power” profile for the Bluetooth Smart protocol.
We suggest using the Misuro B+ with the Elite My E-Training app, an app specifically developed for smartphones and tablets. It
is also possible to use other apps which are compatible with the ANT+TM and/or Bluetooth Smart protocols. Additionally, there are
several next-gen cycle computer / GPS devices compatible with the ANT+TM protocol that can display data transmitted by the Misuro
B+ without the use of an app.
The number of LED blinks is specific to the hometrainer being used with the Misuro B+; check the “Blinks settings” in Table 2 for
proper setup.
HOW TO SETUP THE HOMETRAINER
14 different setups are available for different hometrainers and correspond to the 14 different blink patterns.
Verify the proper number of blinks in the first column of “blinks setup” in Table 2.
Push the button near the battery housing to adjust the number of blinks up to the number indicated in the Table 2 for the
hometrainer being used. The LED light blinks once for each push of the button. Wait for it to stop blinking before pushing it again.
Once you reach the 14th blink, the next push of the button will cycle back to the first blink.
Close the Misuro B+ cover.
Note: for trainers with multiple resistance levels, the right setup is 1 blink.
PLACE THE MISURO B+ ON THE RESISTANCE UNIT
Remove the protective film from the velcro.
Attach the velcro to the Misuro B+ opposite the battery housing cover.
There is a specific spot on each model hometrainer for placement of the Misuro B+. In some cases, the Misuro B+ position is
specified by the serial number of the hometrainer.
Consequently, the model of the hometrainer must be established in order to correctly use the Misuro B+ assembly instructions.
Verify the name and the serial number of the hometrainer on the sticker applied to the hometrainer for identification.
If the hometrainer features a roller, it’s not a “Direct Drive” hometrainer (that is TurboMuin, RealTurboMuin, Volano) or electronic;
in this case measure the roller diameter to identify the hometrainer.
USING THE MISURO B+ WITH THE ELITE MY E-TRAINING APP
When configuring the app, the Misuro B+ is displayed as a Speed / Cadence sensor. There may be a prompt necessary to confirm
that a Misuro B+ sensor is being used, in this case, select YES. The app might ask for the input of the wheel circumference value;
always set the actual wheel circumference even if the hometrainers requires removal of the wheel.
USING THE MISURO B+ WITH THIRD PARTY APPS OR OTHER DEVICES / CYCLE COMPUTERS
Using the Misuro B+ sensor with other devices/cycle computers or non-Elite apps requires indicating hometrainer roller diameter
data instead of wheel diameter data, as the sensor is applied to the hometrainer.
The correct diameter for each hometrainer can be found in the Table 2.
Example 1:
A) In the case of a “generic hometrainer”, proceed with the following calculation: multiply the diameter of the hometrainer roller by π (3.1415)
in order to find the input circumference. Roller diameter values are specified in the Misuro B+ assembly instructions on pages 7 to 8.

Blinks value → The hometrainer does not appear under any other category, so it must be set to 1
Bike wheel circumference = 2070 mm
Roller circumference = roller diameter x 3.1415 = 85 x 3.1415 = 264 mm

B) On hometrainers with “Wheel circumference”, set the bike wheel circumference.

C) Insert the wheel circumference value expressed in mm where specified.

D) On hometrainers with a blinks value of 11,12,13 or 14, a calculation is necessary. The input value is determined by dividing the
wheel circumference by the value indicated in Table 2.

In this case, the input value is the wheel circumference divided by the value indicated in Table 2.

TROUBLESHOOTING
- The display (app / cycle computer) does not connect to the sensor: make sure the pairing process with the display has
been properly conducted and start pedalling. Please verify that the battery is charged.Try moving the sensor a bit.The side with two
notches is where the sensor is located and must be as close as possible to the magnet.Try moving the sensor a small distance. The
sensor is located on the side with two notches and it must be as close as possible to the magnet.
- The display reads more than one sensor: This indicates that two or more sensors are close enough to be read. Try turning off
or removing unnecessary sensors and repeat the search process.
WARNING
- Remove the battery when not in use for long periods.
- The device isn’t waterproof.
- Do not allow the sensor to become wet or sweat on it as this might damage it irreparably.
- Power measurement on the Misuro B+ comes from an algorithmic calculation of the power expressed by the cyclist. Total
resistance produced by the hometrainer might be influenced by many variables, some of which are independent of the sensor (i.e.
tyre type and pressure, transmission belt tension and so on).
* Please be aware that to obtain precise power data, if you’re using the the Real Turbo Muin and the Real Turbo Muin B+, you need to
power up the hometrainer at least 30 seconds prior and avoid connecting it to any software or app. You can unplug the power supply
after 30 seconds - this does not affect the resistance generated by the hometrainer. By this method you can monitor training data
(speed and power) with an app or an ANT+ device. The Misuro B+ does not adjust resistance, even when connected to a power source.
Note: The ELITE My E-Training app displays power data for all Elite hometrainers, even when not a feature of the
Misuro B+ for a particular Elite trainer.

/ navigatore sia compatibile con il profilo “ANT+ Velocità&Cadenza” ( ).

Per poter visualizzare i dati di Velocità e/o Cadenza tramite il protocollo Bluetooth Smart, è necessario che il tablet / smartphone / ciclo
computer / navigatore sia Bluetooth Smart Ready, ossia che supporti il protocollo Bluetooth Smart con profilo “Velocità&Cadenza”.
Per poter visualizzare i dati di Potenza tramite il protocollo Bluetooth Smart, è necessario che il tablet / smartphone / ciclo computer /
navigatore sia Bluetooth Smart Ready, ossia che sia compatibile con il protocollo Bluetooth Smart profilo “Potenza”.
E’ consigliato usare il Misuro B+ con l’app di ELITE My E-Training sviluppata per smartphone e tablet, ma è possibile utilizzarlo anche
con altre app compatibili con i protocolli ANT+TM e/o Bluetooth Smart. Inoltre ci sono molti ciclo computer / navigatori di ultima
generazione che sono compatibili con il protocollo ANT+TM e quindi possono visualizzare i dati inviati dal Misuro B+, senza la necessità
di usare una applicazione.
Il numero di lampeggi indica il trainer su cui si intende utilizzare il Misuro B+, per la corretta impostazione verificare nella sezione
“Impostazioni lampeggi“ nella Tabella 2.
COME IMPOSTARE IL TRAINER UTILIZZATO
È possibile impostare fino a 14 lampeggi corrispondenti a 14 diversi tipi di rulli.
Verificare il numero di lampeggi da impostare nella prima colonna “Impostazione lampeggi“ della precedente Tabella 2.
Premere il pulsante vicino al porta batteria per modificare il numero di lampeggi fino a quanto indicato in tabella. Ad ogni pressione
del pulsante, il led inizierà a lampeggiare. Attendere il termine dei lampeggi prima di premere un’altra volta. Raggiunto il 14°
lampeggio, alla successiva pressione, ricomincerà da un lampeggio.
Richiudere il coperchio del Misuro B+.
Nota: per rulli con più livelli di resistenza, l’impostazione corretta è 1 lampeggio.
POSIZIONAMENTO MISURO B+ SULL’UNITÀ DI RESISTENZA
Rimuovere una pellicola protettiva dal velcro
Applicare il velcro al Misuro B+, nella parte opposta al coperchio di accesso alla batteria
Il Misuro B+ deve essere applicato in un punto specifico del trainer, tale posizione varia in funzione del trainer su cui lo si vuole
utilizzare. In alcuni casi la posizione del Misuro B+ varia anche a seconda del seriale del trainer.
Per seguire le istruzioni corrette di assemblaggio del Misuro B+ sul trainer, è necessario sapere che tipo di trainer si possiede.
Per identificare il tipo di trainer corretto, verificare il nome del trainer ed il seriale del prodotto presente sull’etichetta del trainer. Se
il trainer è dotato di rullino, non è un Direct Drive ( rullo a trasmissione diretta ossia TurboMuin, RealTurboMuin, Volano ), e non è un
trainer elettronico, per identificare il trainer misurare il diametro del rullino.
UTILIZZO MISURO B+ CON APPLICAZIONE MY E TRAINING DI ELITE
Durante la configurazione dell’applicazione, il Misuro B+ viene visto come un sensore Velocità / Cadenza. In alcuni casi, durante la
configurazione, l’applicazione potrebbe chiedere conferma se si sta’ utilizzando un sensore “Misuro B+”, confermare con “SI“. In alcuni
casi l’applicazione richiede l’inserimento del valore della circonferenza della ruota, impostare sempre la circonferenza della ruota reale
della bici, anche se per questo tipo di rulli viene fisicamente rimossa.
UTILIZZO MISURO B+ CON APPLICAZIONI NON ELITE O CON ALTRI DEVICE / CICLO COMPUTER
Nel caso si utilizzi il Misuro B+ con applicazioni non Elite o con altri device / ciclo computer è necessario impostare il valore della
circonferenza della ruota nel menù impostazioni.
Per impostare il valore corretto, a seconda del trainer impostato, consultare la colonna “Impostazioni Ruota” nella Tabella 2:
Esempio 1:
A) Con un “Rullo generico“, è necessario effettuare un calcolo.
Moltiplicare il diametro del rullino de trainer per π ( PiGreco ), per trovare la circonferenza da inserire, vedere esempio qui di seguito.
La dimensione del diametro rullino è specificato nelle istruzioni di montaggio del Misuro B+ da pagina 7 a pagina 8.

Valore di lampeggi → Il rullo non è presente in nessun’altra categoria, quindi va impostato a 1

TROUBLESHOOTING
- Il display (app/ciclocomputer) non riesce a rilevare il sensore: assicurarsi di aver fatto abbinamento (pairing) con il display
che si intende usare e pedalare. Verificare se la batteria è carica. Provare a spostare leggermente il sensore. Il lato con due tacche è
dove è ubicato il sensore e deve essere posto quanto più vicino al passaggio del magnete.
- Il display rileva più di un sensore: Ciò indica che nelle vicinanze ci sono due o più sensori. Provare a spegnere o allontanare gli
altri sensori e ripetere la procedura di ricerca.
AVVERTIMENTI
- Rimuovere la batteria, se non utilizzato per lunghi periodi.
- Il dispositivo non è protetto contro l’acqua. Non bagnare o sudare sopra il sensore, potrebbe danneggiarlo irreparabilmente.
- La misurazione della potenza fatta con il Misuro B+ è il risultato di formule matematiche e quindi è solo una stima della vera potenza
erogata dal ciclista. Ci sono molte variabili che possono influenzare la resistenza totale erogata dal rullo e alcune di queste non sono
sotto il controllo del sensore (es. pressione del pneumatico, tipo del pneumatico, tensione della cinghia di trasmissione, ecc…) e quindi
impossibile stimare l’errore del valore di potenza del Misuro B+.
*Attenzione, se il Misuro B+ viene utilizzato con il Real Turbo Muin / Real Turbo Muin B+, per avere valori di potenza corretti, è
necessario alimentare per 30 secondi il trainer e non connetterlo a nessun programma/applicazione. Dopo i primi 30 secondi è
necessario rimuovere l’alimentazione dal trainer senza che la resistenza del rullo venga modificata. In questo modo è possibile
monitorare i dati dell’allenamento con la resistenza al minimo (velocità e potenza) con un’app o con una periferica ANT+. Non è
possibile usare il Misuro B+ per variare la resistenza , anche con il rullo alimentato.
Note: L’applicazione di ELITE My E-Training è in grado di visualizzare la potenza di tutti i rulli Elite, indipendentemente
se il Misuro B+ ha tale funzione.
