• Divide dry hair into equal sections
and comb before curling. Press
on the clamp lever, and place the
tip of the section between the
clamp and the tube.
• Roll your hair around the tongs,
winding your hair up from the
tips to the roots to where you
want the curls to begin, being
careful not to touch your scalp
with the tongs. Hold the tongs in
place for 10 to 15 seconds.
• Tip: for tighter and bouncier
curls, work with a small amount
of hair at a time. For softer,
smoother curls, work with more
hair.
• To avoid frizziness, make sure
the hair is rolled around the
clamp properly, in the direction
desired for the curl. Place the
clamp on top of the section to
curl your hair under. To curl your
hair out, place the clamp under
the section.
• To remove the curling tongs,
press on the clamp lever and
open. To “set” the curl, wait until
your hair has cooled before
brushing or combing.
• Tip: for a better hold, mist the
section lightly with hairspray
before curling.
Straightener function
• Select the straightening function,
then Plug the BaByliss Pro Style
Duo (see “Selecting the desired
function”) and push the switch to
the “On” position. Allow the unit
to heat up until the indicator light
has stopped flashing. Make sure
the heating tube doesn't touch
your scalp during use.
• Use the straightener on dry hair
and work with small sections.
Hold your hair taut and begin at
the roots, sliding the straightener
down the length. Work smoothly
to avoid creating a ridge in the
middle of the section.
• Tip: for short and curly styles,
use a spray gel.
• To smooth and tame very curly
hair, only use the straightener on
the lengths and leave the roots
curly. For this kind of style, follow
the shape of your hairstyle.
The straightening plates can also
be used to accent certain sections
(fringe, movement, etc.)
• To style your hair with the tips
curled under, use the unit as
described above, but turn under
(as with a brush during blow
drying). Hold in place for a few
seconds then release.
• To shape your hair with the
tips curled out, use the same
movement but turn out.
3. MAINTENANCE
Once cooled and unplugged, the
tongs may be wiped with a damp
cloth. Make sure it is dried properly
before plugging it in again.

• WARNING: Do not

unplug after use as the proximity

if the appliance is switched off.
