8. Move GEWA Connect to another smartphone
GEWA Connect can be used on one smartphone at the time. If you want to move GEWA
Connect to another smartphone, follow these steps:
The Gewa Connect data is stored in the myAbilia account and is easily restored from there.
It is also possible to restore the data via the Backup & Restore function in GEWA Connect.
If GEWA Connect should be used by the same user
1. Backup the data. See chapter 5.4.1 Backup. (Optional but if you are having issues
with internet connection it could be good.)
2. Reset the Multibox. See chapter 7.8 Resetting the Multibox.
3. Install on the new smartphone. See chapter 3. Getting started. Log in with the
users myAbilia account.
4. (In case of point 1; Restore the data. See chapter 5.4.2 Restore.)
If GEWA Connect should be used by another user
1. Reset the Multibox. See chapter 7.8 Resetting the Multibox.
2. On myAbilia: Release the license from the current users account.
3. On myAbilia: Create an account for the new user and register the license to the new
account.
4. Install on the new smartphone. See chapter 3. Getting started. Log in with the new
users myAbilia account.
9. Safety and responsibility
Abilia has conducted a risk analysis for the product with reference to SS-EN 14971 for
Medical equipment. The instructions for use and the technical specifications for the product
have been drawn up in respect of the safety assessments carried out in this document.
It is always important to be aware of safety when first using this product and with its
subsequent use. It is not possible to describe in the instructions all the situations in which
the product must not be used. If you are not sure whether you have started using the
product properly or set it up correctly, please contact your supplier.
If you use GEWA Connect to control appliances and electronics in your surroundings,
ensure that it has been set up correctly and is being used for its intended purpose and that it
is safe to use and operate.
Abilia is not liable for any loss, damage or consequential loss resulting from incorrect use,
lack of follow-up, incorrect set-up, incorrect connection or similar misuse. Abilia financial
liability is at all times limited to the value of the product itself.
Any attempt to gain access to or in any way abuse the electronic components of the GEWA
Connect renders the manufacturer’s warranty void and the Manufacturer free from liability.
