laser beam used in this DVD recorder is

protective housing inside the enclosure.

A moulded plug complying with
BS1363 is fitted to this equipment for
your safety and convenience.
Should the fuse in the plug supplied need
to be replaced, a 5 AMP fuse approved
by ASTA or BSI to BS1362, (i.e.,
marked with or mark) must be
used.
If the plug supplied with this equipment
has a detachable fuse cover, be sure to
attach the fuse cover after you change
the fuse. Never use the plug without the
fuse cover. If you should lose the fuse
cover, please contact your nearest Sony
service station.
Precautions
• This unit operates on 220 – 240 V AC,
50/60 Hz. Check that the unit’s
operating voltage is identical with your
local power supply.
• To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not
place objects filled with liquids, such
as vases, on the apparatus.

Precautions
This equipment has been tested and
found to comply with the limits set out in
the EMC Directive using a connection
cable shorter than 3 metres.
On safety
Should any solid object or liquid fall into
the cabinet, unplug the recorder and have
it checked by qualified personnel before
operating it any further.
On power sources
• The recorder is not disconnected from
the AC power source (mains) as long as
it is connected to the wall outlet, even
if the recorder itself has been turned
off.
• If you are not going to use the recorder
for a long time, be sure to disconnect
the recorder from the wall outlet. To
disconnect the AC power cord (mains
lead), grasp the plug itself; never pull
the cord.
On placement
• Place the recorder in a location with
adequate ventilation to prevent heat
build-up in the recorder.
• Do not place the recorder on a soft
surface such as a rug that might block
the ventilation holes.
• Do not place the recorder in a confined
space such as a bookshelf or similar
unit.
• Do not place the recorder in a location
near heat sources, or in a place subject
to direct sunlight, excessive dust, or
mechanical shock.
• Do not place the recorder in an inclined
position. It is designed to be operated
in a horizontal position only.
• Keep the recorder and discs away from
equipment with strong magnets, such
as microwave ovens, or large
loudspeakers.
• Do not place heavy objects on the
recorder.
On operation
• If the recorder is brought directly from
a cold to a warm location, or is placed
in a very damp room, moisture may
condense on the lenses inside the
recorder. Should this occur, the
recorder may not operate properly. In
this case, remove the disc and leave the
recorder turned on for about half an
hour until the moisture evaporates.
• When you move the recorder, take out
any discs. If you don’t, the disc may be
damaged.

  • Recorder speelt CD - muziek af via versterker naar Sony Home Theater System. Na het laden van een DVD krijg ik na laden de ( fout melding(?) L1 en kan ik hem niet starten. Hoe krijg ik hem weer opgestart? Gesteld op 24-10-2016 om 16:50

  • Mijn dvd zit erin maar blijft laden en komt er niet meer uit . Wat nu?

  • Recorder RDR GX3 pakt geen enkele lege disc meer, ik weet dat de + R nooit zal gaan,maar de andere waren nooit een probleem. Gesteld op 18-10-2012 om 13:00

    afspelen of opnemen wordt geweigerd door deze melding !

  • IK KAN WELKE OPNAME DISC DAN OOK INVOEREN, MAAR HET ANTWOORD IS STEEDS DISC ERROR, WAT STAAT ER FOUT IN GESTELD. Gesteld op 17-11-2011 om 09:41

    • Goedemiddag,

      Als ik een dvd+rw in mijn sony rdr-gx3 stop geeft
      deze steeds faulty disk error.

  • Oplossing van mijn standby klacht van 22-5-2010:

    Ik heb hem weer werkend gekregen door de stroom uit te schakelen, vervolgens het apparaat op zijn kop gelegd, weer op stroom aangesloten waarna bleek dat het apparaat wel weer aan en uit te zetten was en niet meer in standby bleef hangen, ook de lade ging weer open- en dicht.
    DVD was daardoor uit het apparaat te halen.
    Vervolgens apparaat weer normaal rechtop neergezet en alles werkt weer als voorheen
    Vreemde oplossing maar bij mij werkte het wel! Gesteld op 30-6-2010 om 16:19

    • Bedankt voor de tip. Had precies hetzelfde probleem. Ik zat al 2 dagen te klooien en wilde bijna de recorder in de container gooien. Toevallig las ik dit bericht en werkt inderdaad. Hij doet het weer prima. Grt,Rolf Geantwoord op 19-8-2010 om 23:22
